Detailed Description:
This position offers the opportunity for significant professional growth and the potential to collaborate with local and national teams. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for building things of high quality, on time and underbudget, meeting new people, and a desire to work collaboratively with seasoned professionals. Work location will be in the New York City, NY metropolitan area, with ability to provide similar support for other local and regional clients. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Provide oversight and on-site Resident Engineering to guide a team of CM professionals on delivery of third-party construction management services for major water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
* Collaborate amongst client, contractor(s), design engineers, and third-party stakeholders in addressing priority issues to successfully progress construction projects to completion.
* Support the growth of Construction Management services in the New York City metropolitan region thru development of best practices and identification of potential key project pursuits
* Lead development of construction management pursuits and proposals, guiding pursuit team on vision, approach, teaming, staffing, and pricing.
* Collaborate with a local project delivery team and national team of technical experts, including Quality Managers, Project Controls Professionals, Safety Professionals, Technical Leads, and Inspection staff.
* Oversee and manage construction projects from conception to completion to meet contractual conditions of performance including budgets, schedule, safety and quality.
* Mentor, supervise and provide direction for less experienced staff
* Review design and bidding documents for completeness, constructability and biddability
* Perform as a practitioner, as required, construction administration; schedule analyses; change order development, negotiation, and processing; lead and/or assist start-up and commissioning efforts.
* Ensure compliance for all construction management team members with company's and client's health and safety training requirements
* Generate project correspondence, including responses to Contractor correspondence, in a timely manner to avoid delay, to convey Owner's position, and to protect the Owner's interests.
* Review construction work progress daily. Provide daily site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, standards, codes, and permits
Desired Skills and Experience:
* BS degree, Master's degree preferable, in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
* PE in New York or ability to obtain through reciprocity within 6 months of hire.
* Certified Construction Manager (CCM) through CMAA preferred.
* Minimum of 15 years of increasingly responsible professional experience in the design and construction administration of municipal infrastructure, water, and wastewater facilities
* Thorough working knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, process and building mechanical and electrical construction and demolition practices involved with major public works projects
* Ability to provide design/consultation in specialized areas, make decisions and solve problems
* Knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods, and relevant rules, regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement a QA/QC program for construction projects as well as to review, analyze, and negotiate construction cost estimates, change orders, and contractor claims
* Working knowledge of OSHA 1910
* Ability to manage and mentor a team of inspectors and project support staff; and to work effectively in a diverse team environment
* Strong verbal/written communication skills
* Current and valid driver's license and good driving record
* Advanced knowledge of standard professional software such as MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
* Practitioner knowledge and experience using construction management software packages (Primavera P6, eBuilder, Microsoft Project scheduling software)
* Advanced knowledge and experience managing and maintaining the Health & Safety requirements of construction sites
* Ability to walk around a construction site of varying size and topography to perform inspections and ability to stand for several hours observing and documenting critical construction activities
* Ability to work for short periods of time in extreme temperatures including heat and cold
* Ability to wear required safety equipment at sites including hard hats, steel toed boots (or other approved toe protection), etc.
* Ability to climb and descend stairs (2-3 flights) or ladders (up to 24 feet typically) to access structures for visual inspection and ability to lift objects less than 30 pounds
Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Summary
Construction/Construction Compliance Services has the authority to establish and audit construction delivery standards for all engineering and architectural disciplines in C&D Delivery. The Senior Construction Compliance Manager assists in managing all construction processes to conform to professional industry and MTA C&D standards.
Responsibilities
Reviews in-house technical designs for constructability in non-design-build projects.
Responsible for monitoring and/or auditing third-party technical design and construction activities for compliance with the contract's requirements.
Provides continuous construction oversight throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Manages and allocates constructability review team members to project schedules/milestones.
Documents both conforming and non-conforming work, and the progress of outstanding issues verifies corrective actions and identifies opportunities for corrective actions.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field.
Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of related experience.
Competencies:
Licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect desirable.
PMP and CCM Certifications are preferred.

As a Project Engineer at RK&K you will manage complex bridge, urban, or interstate reconstruction projects and strengthen our CEI teams in South Georgia. Must have experience leading construction management teams of inspectors and administrative staff on GDOT projects.
Essential Functions
Management and administration of heavy civil, highway and structures projects including leading teams of Junior Project Engineers, Office Managers, Senior Inspectors, Inspectors, CPM Reviewers, and administrative staff on projects
Responsibilities include the review of monthly estimates, final estimates, change orders/supplemental agreements, and claims
Facilitating preconstruction meetings, progress meetings, and pre-activity meetings
