Job Summary: The Resident Housing Activity Coordinator is a full time, grant-funded position responsible for facilitating supportive housing services to enhance the quality of life for residents at Harbor Residence. This role involves developing and implementing programs that address the physical, mental, and social well-being of residents, working closely with Lighthouse Behavioral Health Solutions and local community service providers. The position is contingent on the availability of funding and will be terminated once the grant funding is no longer available. This role does still offer benefits, PTO, paid holidays, or other employee benefits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and Implement Supportive Services: Develop and coordinate activities and programs that address the needs of residents, in collaboration with residents, management, and local service providers.
Outreach and Recruitment: Conduct outreach to identify residents who would benefit from services, assess program gaps, and recruit volunteers.
Liaison with Local Providers: Serve as a liaison between Lighthouse Behavioral Health and local community providers, ensuring efficient coordination of services for residents.
Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support during crisis situations, escalating to the Site Director as needed for clinical intervention.
Community Engagement: Foster resident-led initiatives and support community-building activities, ensuring compliance with housing project guidelines.
Funding and Program Development: Identify funding opportunities for additional or expanded services and collaborate with the development team to secure such funding.
Event Coordination: Develop and distribute the monthly program/activity calendar, and ensure successful planning and execution of tenant events.
Professional Development: Participate in training, webinars, and workshops relevant to the position, focusing on continued growth in the field.
Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed to accommodate resident events and programming schedules.
Engage in continuous professional development through training, networking programs, webinars, and workshops to enhance service delivery to the community.
Participate in tenant events and ensure successful event execution, including coordinating cleanup efforts and providing assistance as needed.
Adaptable work schedule, with the ability to work some weeknights and weekends to accommodate event schedule.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of relevant experience in human services, preferably with individuals with substance use disorders (SUD) or mental health challenges.
Valid driver's license, personal transportation, and adequate car insurance.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 12pm - 8pm, rotating weekends
Compensation Range: $18 - $20/hr

COACH RESPONSIBILITIES
Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age groups range from roughly 12 months old to 11 years old
Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team
Must be able to ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum
Greet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at beginning of class
Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading class
Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
Ensure cleanliness of the center including the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors - this includes taking out the trash, sweeping and mopping, wiping down equipment, and sanitizing the mat at the end of a shift
Effectively use the KS Coachs App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.)
Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, our company messaging system, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers
Complete trainings through FranConnect as required by the HQ Training and Certification team
Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.
Must be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.
Assist parents of students, ages 3 and younger, with the direction and flow of a class
Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next' month's curriculum
Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by KidStrong Director
Learn and manage Coach KidStrong Camp - special classes held by centers when local schools are not operating (for example: Winter Break, Summer Break)

Kids Instructor
Life Time Fitness
Casstown, OH
The Kids Instructor provides best-in-class, educational/fitness-minded programming for our children. They organize, instruct and implement safe, fun and entertaining activities and games for children between the ages of three months to 11 years in the Kids Academy. Kids Instructors may also host parties and other events.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Greets, acknowledges, and interacts with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner
* Fosters children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development by instructing organized activities in accordance with the Kids Academy Schedule
* Prepares and sets up for class and transfers kids to and from programming
* Maintains records of children's attendance, development, and incidents.
* Monitors and interacts with children to maintain a safe and healthy environment with respect to the toys, sports equipment, other children, and surroundings
* Utilizes positive behavior management techniques and communicates clearly with parents and team members
* Promotes all Junior programming to increase participation in all Kids & Aquatics programming
* Maintains the Kids Academy and other program areas by following the cleaning checklist and performing assigned tasks. Restocks supplies after each class
* Handles incidents and emergencies in a calm and professional manner
Position Requirements
* Less than a High School Diploma or GED
* Completion of all Kids On-Demand Required Learnings prior to first day of work
* First Aid certification, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire
Preferred Requirements
* 6+ months of teaching children ages 3 - 11 in similar programs or activities
* Ability to engage a group of children in an activity
* Customer service and strong communication skills
Pay
This is an hourly position with wages starting at $13.25 and pays up to $15.75, based on experience and qualifications.
