Job Summary: Ensures coffee and food products are prepared and displayed in accordance with Company standards. Assists with leading the Starbucks department personnel to promote department sales and customer service to support profitability goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Works in conjunction with upper management to train and develop partners through on job training. Oversees designated department and does not extend to other departments within the store. Indirectly responsible for maintaining and improving sales performance, financial results, public relations, product quality, and work standards. Enforces quality control and food safety standards and ensures dated products are stocked and rotated properly. Makes fine judgements about aroma, flavor, taste, and color to inspect coffee products for quality. Helps with all aspects of department production including preparing, packaging, and labeling. Ability to read and operate digital equipment, meters, dials, and/or calibrated scales. Ability to safely operate hazardous tools and equipment such as an espresso machine, coffee grinder, commercial ovens, etc. Ability to use precision and non-precision hand tools. Ability to learn new technology systems, methods, and processes. Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. Education, Experience and Qualifications: High school Diploma or GED and one or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required. Completion of Starbucks Barista Basics Training Program and any additional recommended Starbucks leadership training required. Job Summary: Supports upper management to lead front-end operations and staff to promote high level of engagement and customer satisfaction. Proactively addresses issues and concerns through effective communication, adherence to Company policies, and thorough training of front end partners. Works with upper management to ensure adequate staffing, a clean and safe store environment, and expedient check out services for a pleasant customer experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Works in conjunction with upper management to train and develop partners; plan, assign, and direct work; and address complaints and resolve problems. Provides friendly and customer service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, and responding to customer complaints. Addresses front end procedural issues brought to attention by cashiers and courtesy/utility clerks.
