CDL Drivers are critical to ACE's ability to transport tools and equipment between ACE Yards and project sites. Essential Job Functions Driving: Practices defensive driving techniques to prevent accidents regardless of fault. Proficient in driving multiple vehicles including straight body trucks as well and truck and trailer combinations. Navigation: Proficient in driving large commercial vehicles in varying environments, specifically urban areas. Experienced in identifying traffic patterns and communicating optimizations in route planning. Proficient in understanding and navigating the highway network in the delivery area the employee is located. Equipment Operation: Has the ability to load and unload tools and equipment by means of forklift, skid steer, excavator, or crane as applicable. Employee is competent in machine operation as well as safely rigging and picking all equipment. Load Distribution and Securement: Experienced in loading a truck safely and legally. Employee knows how to retrieve or calculate the weight of the items to be delivered. Employee understands how to correctly distribute a load on a truck. Employee is highly experienced in cargo securement and knowledgeable in cargo securement regulations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED preferred with three (3) years experience making local deliveries in a vehicle with a GVWR of 26,000+. Must maintain valid CDL A License.
