Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or business discipline preferred
10+ years in high-tech manufacturing, including 5+ years in management
Skilled in production methodologies, KPIs, and lean techniques.
Hands-on experience in deployment of lean manufacturing techniques (e.g., material pull/kanban, visual management, one-piece flow, value-stream mapping, 5S)
Proven leadership and team building skills
Demonstrated ability to successfully work with minimal direction.
Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse teams.

What you will be doing:
* Evaluating and directing functional and technical aspects of new products in collaboration with the internal design team, the product management team, and other engineering teams.

* Reviewing and critiquing designs received as CAD files from design team and soliciting feedback from manufacturers

* Preparing designs for quoting by preparing bills of materials, functional/quality requirements, and key manufacturing questions

* Reviewing and critiquing pre-production samples from manufacturers
* Managing and updating product data once tools are made, including CAD, drawings, and parts lists.
* Ensuring that new products meet standards of performance and quality by reviewing dimensional data from pre-production samples, as well as by designing product testing procedures and conducting testing
* Approving product for mass production when acceptable quality is achieved.

What You'll Be Doing as a Manufacturing Engineer:
Consult on engineering projects related to new product introductions, product redesigns and process improvements (CNC milling)
Provide technical input and support to production teams

Skills and Experience You'll Need as a Manufacturing Engineer:
Bachelor's of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or closely related field, plus 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in tool design, machine technology and CNC parts manufacturing

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Optical, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Physics) or exceptional industrial experience in closely related technologies.
* 3+ years of experience in process or product development of laser components, sub-systems, fiber optics, precision optical/electro-mechanical assemblies.
* Knowledge and understanding of optical fibers, fiber assemblies and termination, optics, laser diodes and a variety of metrology/characterization/failure analysis techniques.
* Hands-on working experience with optical fibers, lasers, optics and precision opto-mechanical systems and tools.
* Strong record of problem solving and data analysis through structured methodologies in high order multi-dimensional spaces
* Situational leadership skills and ability to work with cross functional & multi-site teams effectively.
* Strong command of electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, basic tooling, and fixture design.
* Understanding of new product introduction, qualification, and product lifecycle process.
