The **Clinical ResearchAssociate** facilitates direct patient care to all assigned patients and maintains a safe patient area. This role also supplies clerical support for the research team and their patient population with direct responsibility and accountability for patient recruitment, retention, scheduling and registration activities to achieve established outcomes.

Responsibilities
A day in the life of a Clinical ResearchAssociate at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
* Manages patient recruitment activities and research team training for assigned studies, serves as a liaison with sponsors, other funded sites and coordinates activities across sites nationally and locally.
* May develop detailed recruitment materials, procedure manuals, source documents and ensures in protocol adherence and quality.
* Schedules and registers patients for study visits, testing and interviews.
* May obtain consent, administers testing and conducts interviews. Notifies site staff or primary care providers of patients/participants who appear to be impaired or distressed.
* Enters data from multiple sites in the study database, assists with data management and data analysis, performs routine data quality assurance procedures and resolves discrepancies.
* Assists in preparing and organizing study records, meetings, minutes, and writes draft reports and manuscripts.
* Manages payment, tracking, and documentation of patient study incentives.
* Assists in administrative tasks as assigned.
* Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
* Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

The Gun Violence Research Center at Rutgers seeks to create safe and healthy environments for NJ residents to live, learn, work, and play by providing high-quality, multi-disciplinary research on firearm violence causality and prevention, and to translate this research into clear and actionable policies and programs. The Center partners with relevant local-, state-, and national-level experts, securing access to data to conduct and support research that identifies etiologic factors for firearm violence, develops and rigorously evaluates interventions to reduce the burden of firearm violence, and translates its scientific findings into effective programs and policies to better ensure their widespread adoption.
The Gun Violence Research Center at Rutgers University is looking for a ResearchAssociate II to assist with the development, implementation and analysis of gun violence related projects. The ResearchAssociate II will work with the Executive Director and Assistant Director to collect and analyze data as well as communicating the science to the Center's various stakeholders.

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a ResearchAssociate III for the Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine (CABM) within Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS).
The primary purpose of the ResearchAssociate III is to contribute to research exploring hormone-driven interactions between the gut, brain, and body. The position involves performing technical research activities and assisting in highly specialized gut-brain studies focused on a microbial-regulated hormone, oxytocin. Projects span intestinal physiology, microbiome research, neuroscience, and psychology, aiming to understand the role of gut-derived oxytocin, its relationship to brain oxytocin, and microbial regulation of this hormone. These questions are addressed using mouse models, organoid systems, and ex vivo tissue preparations. Responsibilities include conducting experiments in mice and cell cultures, maintaining mouse colonies and tissue culture environments, and supporting specialized research projects. The ResearchAssociate III will also contribute to lab organization, equipment and supply ordering, and serve as an active member of a collaborative research team.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
* As directed, performs various research and technical operations relative to ongoing investigatory activities of the laboratory; assists in conducting specialized research for a particular phase of ongoing projects related to gut-brain research.
* Performs intestinal damage experiments and associated molecular biology assays in mice and cell culture to pursue the role of gut oxytocin in intestinal damage and repair.

The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree and doctorate-level training in health services research, health policy, public health, epidemiology, or related disciplines, with strong quantitative training and skills; a strong track record of peer-reviewed journal articles; post-doctoral training and/or other evidence of preparation to become R-01 funded principal investigators, or peer-reviewed funding appropriate to career stage.
