What is a Hadoop Administrator

A Hadoop Administrator runs and manages Hadoop clusters and the other resources in the Hadoop ecosystem for a company. His/Her job is to install and maintain Hadoop clusters and ecosystems, thereby preventing problems and enhancing overall performance. He/She adds and removes nodes using cluster monitoring tools like Cloudera Manager. He/She plans and estimates if there is a need to lower or increase the capacity of the Hadoop cluster. Also, he/she performs backup and recovery tasks. As a Hadoop admin, you are responsible for troubleshooting application errors and preventing them from happening again. You will also maintain resource and security management.
