The main function of an analyst/developer is to develop and design web applications and web sites. A typical analyst/developer is responsible for directing web site content creation, enhancement and maintenance. An entry level analyst/developer typically has a Bachelors degree or equivalent training with previous experience. As the levels progress, the years experience increase along with leadership expectations, with the introduction of a supervisory role at Level 4. The technical skills, including the knowledge of computer hardware and software, increase across levels, starting from basic at Level 1 to expert at Level 5.


Education/Experience

o Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent training required
o 7+ years of experience required


Responsibility level

o Exercises minimal independent judgment with direction from supervisor


Skills

o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required)
o Basic ability to work independently and manage one s time (Required)
o Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software (Required)
o Basic knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models (Required)
o Basic knowledge of computer software, such as Adobe, Java, SQL, etc (Required)


Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

o Design, build or maintain web sites, using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools and digital media
o Write, design, or edit web page content
o Perform web site updates
o Identify problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback and correct problems
o Evaluate code to ensure it is valid, meets industry standards and is compatible with devices or operation systems

Your future duties and responsibilities

" Demonstrate your excellent technical analysis, software development skills using Hadoop, Python, Mainframe, DB2 and Teradata, your attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced development environment.
" Make decisions quickly in consultation with team members and domain experts.
" Display your strong functional analysis and abilities in finding quality technical solutions to business needs.
" Perform data analysis, data profiling, data cleansing, and data quality analysis in various layers using Database queries
" Experience eliciting, analyzing, and documenting functional and non-functional requirements.
" Work on a variety of projects and enhancements on the Hadoop platform.
" Assist with the preparation of processes and frameworks
" Work with business stakeholders, Solution Designers, BSAs, team members and other SMEs to understand high-level business requirements.
" Support testing teams in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, user acceptance, and operational acceptance testing; participate in the testing of developed systems/solutions.
" Adhere to existing processes and standards
" Prioritize and manage own workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines.
" Support a positive work environment that promote service to business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest.


Required qualifications to be successful in this role

" Strong Hands-on Hadoop, Python, Mainframe, DB2 and Teradata 'experience
" Experience in analysis, design, development, support, and enhancements in data warehouse environment with Bigdata Technologies with a minimum of 6 years' experience in Hadoop, MapReduce, Sqoop, PySpark, Spark, HDFS, Hive, Impala, Oozie, Hue, Kafka, Yarn, Python
" Experience with Agile methodologies to iterate quickly on product changes
