Monitor receiving inspection of all incoming material, parts and supplies used by the repair station for the maintenance or alteration of articles and the preliminary, hidden damage inspections and the inspection continuity of all items repaired by the repair station. Ensure that rejected and unserviceable parts are properly indentified, tagged and returned to the customer or properly discarded. Ensure an audit of the authorized sub-contractors responsible for calibration of the Company's calibrated equipment is accomplished at least once a year and that calibration standards are traceable to the National Institute of Technical Standards or other governmental controlling agency standards. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED and minimum of two years college or trade school. Minimum of ten years work experience performing inspection supervisory functions of general types of aircrafts that the repair station is rated for. Ensure that all Leads, Supervisors and Managers are holding subordinates accountable for technical activities as well as corporate policies and procedures. Ensure department evaluations are completed in a timely manner per corporate guidelines To conduct regular meetings, clearly establishing meeting objectives and resultant actionable items. To interact as required with other operations departments including Stores and Production Planning, also attending interdepartmental meetings as necessary. To work closely with Stores to ensure sufficient parts, equipment and tools resources are available for an efficient project delivery. To take part in training and other development initiatives. To train and assist his/her subordinates in the proper procedures, methods, and practices required to perform each assigned maintenance task. Ensure that all maintenance technicians utilize the applicable data effective to the task being performed. Ensure that all required documentation is available to all maintenance departments and that each mechanic properly completes each entry for work accomplished. To see to it that all equipment and tools are handled with care and kept in serviceable condition, ensuring required checks and periodic calibrations. Any equipment problems should be documented and reported immediately to the stores for subsequent repairs.
