The Chief Inspector is directly responsible for the overall operation of the inspection department and reports to the Director of Quality Assurance. Direct, plan and lay out details of inspection standards, methods and procedures used by the repair station in complying with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer's specifications. Supervise, assist and direct all personnel assigned to the inspection department. Ascertain that all inspections are properly performed and documented by the repair station. Ensure that the proper inspection records, reports and forms used by the repair station are properly executed. Maintain the Inspection Department's turn over log for continuing work and inspections. Ensure the availability of pertinent FAA specifications, Airworthiness Directives and other technical data applicable to articles repaired or altered by the repair station while the work is being performed. Ensure that no defective or unairworthy parts are installed in any component or unit released by the repair station. Execution and submit the FAA Malfunction and Defects Report when required. Properly prepare and execute FAA Form 337, as required, for major repairs and alterations accomplished by the repair station. He also ensures a copy of the completed FAA Form 337 is forwarded to the local FAA Flight Standards District Office. Properly complete the maintenance release pertinent to those items returned to service by the repair station. Monitor receiving inspection of all incoming material, parts and supplies used by the repair station for the maintenance or alteration of articles and the preliminary, hidden damage inspections and the inspection continuity of all items repaired by the repair station. Ensure that rejected and unserviceable parts are properly indentified, tagged and returned to the customer or properly discarded. Ensure an audit of the authorized sub-contractors responsible for calibration of the Company's calibrated equipment is accomplished at least once a year and that calibration standards are traceable to the National Institute of Technical Standards or other governmental controlling agency standards. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED and minimum of two years college or trade school. Minimum of ten years work experience performing inspection supervisory functions of general types of aircrafts that the repair station is rated for. Current A & P License and General Familiarization certificates of the various types of aircrafts/powerplants that the repair station is rated for.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Planner is responsible for setting up the production control booth. · Review of the work scope packages and set up the production control booth, working boards by zones and skills for each aircraft as required. · Assignment and control of the flow and sequence of work on a specific aircraft undergoing maintenance. · Coordination of the ordering of parts of the Pre-draw and assignment of task cards when the parts are available. · In collaboration with Project Managers and their Leads, ensure Task Cards issued to Technicians can be worked on and are in line with the plan's sequence. · Conducting periodic audits of the technical documents for the respective tasks as the project progresses. · Confirming the accountability of the completed task cards and other maintenance documentation and ensuring that copies are maintained for the required records file. · Reproduce and organize technical documents as required in order to safeguard originals and their organization for efficient processing. · Collaborate with Project Managers and their Leads in setting up the 24-hour board to distribute to Technicians. · Act with urgency and accuracy to ensure that all daily requirements are fulfilled for all shifts in order to allow efficient workflow. · Maintain a highly organized work environment. · Strive for continuous improvement in execution and delivery of work. · Support the Production Supervisor with other business activities as needed. · Endeavor to be a positive example at all times; through professional behavior, integrity, commitment to the company and compliance with its policies. RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct all required inspections in accordance with the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer's approved data, any customer's approved program data, and the policies and procedures contained in this Inspection Procedures Manual. Record the results of all inspections performed on the proper inspection forms used by the repair station in accordance with this Inspection Procedures Manual. Be thoroughly familiar with the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, specifications, tolerances, limits, inspection methods, techniques, and equipment used in their area of responsibility to determine the quality of the work performed and the airworthiness of the article. Maintain proficiency with various types of inspection aides used for the inspection of a particular item. Ensure current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limits, and procedures recommended by the manufacturer of the product undergoing inspection and other forms of applicable inspection information are available for reference. Other examples of inspection information would be FAA Airworthiness Directives, manufacturer's bulletins, approved customer data, and Federal Aviation Regulations. Make final airworthiness determination prior to “Return of Service” on items they are authorized to inspect for any article maintained or altered by this repair station. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Project Manager has “full project ownership” of the assigned aircraft to receive HMV (Heavy Maintenance Visits)/Modification services. He/she develops the plan in collaboration with Production Planning and coordinates and controls the distribution and management of work with his/her Leads to ensure the Company meets the re-delivery date. Through the Leads the Project Manager will make sure that all repair personnel carry out their respective duties in full accordance to company policies and procedures and in full compliance to FAA/EASA regulations and in line with OEM MPDs, and in so doing delivering efficient high quality work with safety being their uncompromised priority. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: · Ensure the highest quality service, safety standards and performance, with the objective of exceeding customer satisfaction in the re-delivery of airworthy, reliable and clean aircraft, in a timely manner. · Responsible for direct supervision of the maintenance Lead, and in turn through the respective leadman the A&P Mechanics, Sheetmetal Mechanics, Avionic Technicians, Outside Services personnel with authority to guide and advise technical activity in accordance with Repair Station Manual and FAA regulations. · Provide leadership and direction, coach and mentor direct reports and their subordinates to consistently deliver excellence in their undertaking as individuals and team players, ensuring high quality workmanship and on-time re-delivery of aircraft. · Secure commitment and accountability at all levels in execution of both work and accurate supporting documentation. · In collaboration with Production Planning & Control, Quality Assurance & Safety, Customer and Leads, establish project plan for each aircraft to be serviced in accordance with the Workscope and respective timeline. · Schedule work shift personnel necessary to accomplish the assigned work scope together with the Director of Operations, Production Planning and Leads. · Elaborate Shift Handover instructions and Work Interruption logs with attention to detail. · Obtain customer approvals for man hours and parts as needed. Participate in relevant development training including General Familiarization Certification. · Conduct regular progress meetings with Customer and all relevant department heads and personnel concerning operational requirements and activities, clearly establishing objectives and actions. · Deal with Customers in a cordial, respectful and professional manner, and to see to it that all personnel behave accordingly. · Ensure that tools and equipment are correctly used and handled by operations personnel for both safety and to reduce breakages, wear and tear. The Project Manager will have numerous Leads and their technicians reporting (numbers depend on Aircraft maintenance Workscope). Personnel to be managed include sub-contractors. One of the key challenges for the Project Manager is that of ensuring mechanics and other production personnel undertake their task efficiently and within the budgeted time while consistently maintaining a high safety standard. Also important is to ensure that all documentation is completed and signed-off accurately and with integrity in a timely manner. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: EDUCATION: High School Diploma/GED or OJT, preferably with an Undergraduate Degree. Holds a current mechanic certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant Ratings, and has held these ratings for at least 5 years. EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years of diversified maintenance experience on large aircraft with an Air Carrier, Commercial Operator or Certified Repair Station, and must have acted as an A&P Mechanic. A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in an Air Carrier and/or Repair Station environment.
