1958 Mike purchased Hahn Tire & Accessory Co., Inc. in Rochester, NY which was the start of his own auto parts business.
Two years later, in 1960, Futerman was able to expand beyond this small, redistributing jobber store.
1965 Vendors began to sell directly to the company making it a wholesale distributor.
1966 The first acquisition was made of an automotive aftermarket warehouse distributor in Syracuse, NY.
In 1969 Hahn made its first acquisition, F.A. Crossman, an automotive aftermarket warehouse distributor based in Syracuse, New York.
1976 Hahn Automotive joins the program distribution group, Auto Value.
In the 1980’s, Hahn was one of the first wholesalers to provide jobbers with computer terminals.
1980 Mike’s son, Eli N. Futerman joins the company.

Hahn would thereafter continue to upgrade its computer system, most notably with the 1988 installation of an advanced system specifically designed for the auto aftermarket parts industry.
1988 Daniel J. Chessin joins the company.
Hahn carried out an important acquisition in November 1993, when it spent $13 million to buy the faltering AUTOWORKS Holdings, Inc., of Phoenix, Arizona, from the Northern Automotive Holdings Corporation.
Hahn continued to expand with its September 1994 acquisition of both Meisenzahl Auto Parts, Inc. and its subsidiary Regional Parts, Inc.
By the end of 1994, Hahn posted net sales of $215 million.
In June 1995 Hahn became the first American company to enter the Israeli auto parts market.
In September 1996 Hahn's Professional Warehouse division was chosen by the state of New York to be the exclusive supplier of replacement parts for all state-owned vehicles.
The subsidiary filed for bankruptcy in the Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of New York on July 24, 1997.
In 1997 Hahn acquired Finn Auto Parts of Canandaigua, Inc.
In February 1998 an agreement was reached with the committee, and the company resolved approximately $6.5 million in claims against it.
In an April 22, 1998, press release, he emphasized that "this resolution permits Hahn to direct its total focus to the operation of its existing business."
2001 – The company was founded as Hahn & Woodward Auto Restoration by Bill Hahn and Wes Woodward.
2002 Acquisition of A&K Sales, Inc., located in Central and Western, NY and Erie, PA. Three more warehouses and 12 company stores were added.
2008 Hahn celebrated it 50th Anniversary in business with an expanded National Sales Conference in Rochester, New York.
2012 Acquisition of Tri-State Automotive Warehouse, which expanded distribution to Providence, Rhode Island.
Bill runs the shop with the help of his daughter Amy Beck, who joined him at the company officially in 2013.
2014 – Renamed Hahn – Vorbach when founding partner, Wes Woodward, wanted to slow down.
2016 – Bill Hahn and Paul Vorbach started HV3D Works to provide 3D printed parts that were unobtainable or difficult to obtain for customers’ cars.
2017 – With major growth in both Hahn Auto Restoration and HV3D Works, Paul Vorbach took over operations for HV3D Works while Bill Hahn stayed with his first passion, restoring cars, renaming the company Hahn Auto Restoration.
2018 Hahn will celebrate its 60th Anniversary in business with a new concept for the National Sales Conference in Rochester, New York.
