What you will need:

In this position, the qualified individual will design repairs for existing enclosure systems. They will perform review of enclosure systems for new construction, renovation, and restoration projects. The qualified individual will investigate and determine the service life of building enclosure assemblies. They will perform enclosure review to assess air infiltration, rain water control, heat transfer, and vapor transmission. They will perform building performance analysis including evaluate day-lighting, solar heat gain, thermal energy transfer, and holistic integration of the enclosure with building mechanical, lighting, and plumbing systems.
A sound technical background and excellent oral and written communication skills are required. A technical background in CADD and building performance modeling software is required.
Specific Job Responsibilities will include:
Lead projects with team of internal consultants
Assist SeniorProjectManagers with project tasks
Perform projectmanagement duties
Facilitate client meetings
Prepare technical presentations for client meetings
Prepare proposals for new project pursuits
Review enclosure details and specifications prepared by other consultants
Work closely with architects and contractors to develop high performance details
Research building codes and industry standards
Write assessment reports
Perform field investigations, including water leakage, non-destructive testing, travel required
Perform modeling of enclosure assemblies using different software
Analyze proposed repair/design options
Design and draft repair drawings and details
Prepare construction documents such as repair drawings and specifications
Observe construction and installation of repairs/designs in the field, including quality assurance testing
Prepare site visit reports and meeting minutes
Interact with project clients, sub-consultants, and repair contractors
Qualifications
3-10+ years' experience in building enclosure design, review, and assessments
Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA)
M.S. in Civil Engineering, M.S. in Architectural Engineering, or Master of Architecture in Building Science/Building Enclosures/ Historic Preservation.
Having an RRO/RRC/RWC is a plus.
·Experience in building enclosure design, repair, and retrofit and the integrated design and delivery of high performance buildings.
Experience with exterior wall, below-grade waterproofing, and roofing assemblies.
Understanding of building science and thermal analysis concepts as well as a knowledge of modeling building performance and sustainability.
Demonstrated strength in providing excellent customer service.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

This is a leadership role responsible for overseeing technical execution, inspection coordination, client communication, and construction phase services. This is not a remote position.
**Responsibilities**
+ Lead the technical and logistical execution of building restoration projects from assessment through construction close-out.
+ Develop and review detailed scopes of work and construction documents for roofing, waterproofing, concrete, facade systems, and fenestration repairs.
+ Conduct condition assessments in accordance with industry standards (e.g., ASTM E2018, ACI, ICRI, AAMA) and document findings through field reports and formal presentations.
+ Perform structural evaluations of existing concrete and masonry systems, including load path verification, deterioration analysis, and code compliance reviews.
+ Coordinate and manage construction-phase inspections, including threshold inspections, quality control reviews, and field testing oversight.
+ Review and respond to submittals, RFIs, and change orders with emphasis on technical accuracy and contractual compliance.
+ Interface directly with clients, property managers, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met in terms of schedule, quality, and cost.
+ Mentor junior staff in restoration engineering best practices and support their technical growth.
+ Lead client meetings, board presentations, and technical discussions with owners and stakeholders.
+ Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and building long-term client relationships.
**Qualifications**
+ Minimum of **6+ years of progressive experience** in structural or facade restoration, preferably with exposure to high-rise residential and commercial buildings.
+ Active **Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Florida** (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
+ Proven technical knowledge in at least three of the following domains: roofing, below-grade and above-grade waterproofing, reinforced concrete restoration, fenestration systems (windows, doors, curtain wall), stucco systems, coating and sealant systems, masonry, or cladding assemblies.
+ Familiarity with relevant codes and guidelines: FBC, IBC, ACI 562, ICRI Guidelines, ASTM E2128, ASTM C1193, AAMA 511, etc.
+ Strong projectmanagement experience, including budgeting, schedule development, change management, and inspection coordination.
+ Proficiency in technical writing, construction detailing, and specification development.
+ Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project (or similar platforms).
+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
+ Strong leadership presence, ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, and willingness to perform site work as needed.
