About the Role

The Materials Scientist collaborates closely with engineers, vendors, and customers to design new materials, improve existing systems, lead development projects, and support manufacturing operations. Job Summary
The Bakken trend is a sequence of liquids-rich sand and shale layers in the Williston Basin, which stretches across western North Dakota and into Canada. The company's position in the Bakken development area is comprised of approximately 790,000 net unconventional acres, which include 382,000 net mineral acres and 180,000 net leasehold acres. The company focuses on unconventional tight-oil play development and production in the most prolific portion of the basin.
During 2024, net production averaged 115 MBOED. We operated four rigs and one frac crew on average during 2024, resulting in 66 operated wells drilled and 83 operated wells brought online.
Position Overview
As a Bakken Production Engineering Analyst, you will join a team dedicated to achieving ConocoPhillips' production and cost objectives within the Williston & Rockies asset. Reporting directly to the Bakken Production Engineering Supervisor, you will collaborate closely with Production Engineers, Operations field staff, well interventions and integrity teams, as well as IT personnel. This position is accountable for developing, governing, and maintaining essential tools necessary for effective production surveillance and cost optimization. Additionally, you will serve as a representative of the Production Engineering function, working with IT to sustain analytical solutions that enhance production surveillance.
Your responsibilities may include:
Develop, maintain, and govern day-to-day production engineering digital tools required for Production optimization and surveillance supporting the Williston asset

If you are selected as the 3rd Mate, you will be working under the direction of the Master and Chief Mate. The 3rd Mate must have a good understanding of all deck machinery and cargo systems and be proficient at navigation and cargo watch keeping. The 3rd Mate is required to participate in all drills and emergencies and to assist with the enforcement of rules, procedures, regulations, and pollution prevention.

Polar Tankers Overview
Polar Tankers, a wholly owned subsidiary of ConocoPhillips, provides marine transportation for North Slope production, using five company-owned, double-hulled tankers in addition to chartering third-party vessels as necessary. The tankers deliver oil from Valdez, Alaska, to refineries primarily on the West Coast of the United States. The company operates five Endeavour-class tankers: Polar Endeavour, Polar Resolution, Polar Discovery, Polar Adventure and Polar Enterprise.
