IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
A Style Expert - Men's department (made to measure) owns each customer experience from beginning to end by accurately preparing and ringing sales, packaging carry out merchandise appropriately, placing special orders, facilitating the gift wrap and shipping processes as needed, and following up on all merchandise requiring special handling for the respective department.
This position also assists in maintaining the function and visual presentation of the sales floor by dusting and straightening displays, restocking merchandise as needed, and replenishing cash wrap supplies such as bags, tissue paper and receipt paper.
This job requires standing for prolonged periods of time, walking, talking, listening, reaching, standing, bending, stooping, lifting up to 30 pounds and pulling/pushing carts.

The Building Services department performs janitorial services required to maintain the facilities complex and provides various support activities for the corporation. These responsibilities encompass cleaning activities, trash, and recycle removal, pest infestation removal, sanitation control, and snow removal. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
The Building Specialist - Custodian position is located at Hallmark Headquarters. The job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Strip and wax floors, clean and supply restrooms and lounge areas using mild to strong chemicals; stock all restrooms and lounge areas with tissue, paper towels, soap, feminine products, etc.; clean walls, ceilings, ducts, vents, and light fixtures from ladders or scaffolding.
Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum and/or shampoo hallways, stairs, offices, production areas, storage spaces, compactor cleaning, etc.; floor maintenance activities to include dust mopping, wet mopping, stripping, applying dressing and seals as dictated by the particular flooring material and frequency rate; uses mechanical cleaning equipment to include battery-operated/electric floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, large and small vacuum cleaners, buffers and burnishers; must maintain the general operational upkeep of all equipment.
Empty trash containers and recyclable containers (green spots); empty waste containers, 55 gallon drums, push 1 to 2 cubic yard trash trucks and operate trash compactors, to include both trash and recycle activity that will involve office paper, confidential shred, corrugate, film, aerosol cans, and shop towels.
Clean office modules for moves, resets, and conference room tables, chairs, marker boards, and pictures
Remove snow with hand shovels and spread calcium chloride and sand to icy areas; heavy equipment includes tractor with blade and bucket and truck mounted spreader; a valid driver's license is required to operate this equipment

The Production Support Specialist in Lawrence has a variety of duties that support production in numerous ways. Prepares greeting card stock for the Cutter to cut. Jogs, skids and moves stock to the cutter. Carries stock to skids and moves finished skids into the outgoing area. Responsible for complete make-ready, run, monitoring and maintenance. Removes die cut cards from full sheets either using a hammer or by using an Automatic Card Extractor (ACE). Performs make-readies on the ACE and prepares rails/bars and press set-up. Responsible for quality sampling and stacking cards onto skids according to register, blockouts, salvage and spoilage. Determines when adhesive will be mixed and when test will be performed on the mixture. Responsible for ensuring that the ingredients are in the area for mixing the adhesive. Assists the Webtron press operator with press set up and changeover, make-readies, machine adjustments and routine preventative maintenance procedures. Responsible for supporting the production areas by ordering the correct stock, moving components in and out of the areas, inputting information on the computer system, and maintaining a clean, safe, work environment.
Positively participates in performance dialogues and other team problem-solving activities. Sets up and operates a Gem/Cello machine, wholesale sealer, accumulator and shrink tunnel which shrinks poly film around wholesale unit of specialty items and/or operates a lift truck and keeps track of stock in the OAI. Performs all paperwork assigned involved in moving stock, either into or out of the department. Packs finished goods on a packaging line. Identifies potential problems, and shows willingness to proactively work on problem resolution and alternative solutions to traditional methods of operation. Flexibility is key as the incumbent will be expected to move to different work assignments as needed.

Position may be in several departments and incumbent will be expected to learn and perform multiple assignments within this job classification.
In the production areas there is some noise. Hearing protection is provided by Hallmark.

In this position you will:
Perform make-ready duties on the Gem/Cello machines, ACE press and Webtron presses. Set up wholesale sealer and pack product into shipping containers. Mix adhesives and assure the proper ingredients and quantities are available in the area.
Execute Quality System including preflight, sampling plan and the removal of salvage/spoilage. Perform quality and/or adhesive test and report results in a timely manner. Plan and maintain the workflow through the department in accordance with work schedule. Order and deliver stock, cartons, and other components needed for production to the work area.
Achieve and continually improve specified production including production goals, throughput, etc. during training. Participate in performance dialogues and team problem-solving activities. .
Complete regular press maintenance and cleaning, including TPM's. Move skids of stock into and away from the press, including completion of related paperwork. Transport and handle hazardous waste material in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations. Be certified to operate power lift equipment and skid inverting machine.
Demonstrate the flexibility and teamwork to positively influence how goals are accomplished within shorter periods of time. Effectively communicate information to the next shift to ensure consistency and continuous operation.
Utilize good safety practices.

WHO WE ARE
The Facilities Services Division is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance and security of the Hallmark Headquarters Complex. The complex is made up of multiple buildings, 2,300,000 sq. ft. of space. The division is made up of Building Services (custodial), Building Engineering (electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and telecom and general maintenance trades), HVAC, Moves/Resets departments, shipping / receiving, and the mail room services.
The Operations Shift Supervisor - Facilities Services provides leadership and supervision for the Facilities Services Operation on 2nd shift which includes the Building Services department, Building Engineering, and HVAC department. The Operations Shift Supervisor will have direct management responsibilities for 2nd shift Building Services which includes 15-20 Building Specialists - Custodians. Indirect oversight of 2nd shift Building Engineering (3 employees) and HVAC (2 employees).
WHAT WE DO and HOW WE DO IT:
The Operations Shift Supervisor - Facilities Services will be knowledgeable of the Building Specialist duties and familiar with Engineering and HVAC responsibilities. Match resources to workload as needed, coordinate with dayshift supervisors to prioritize the work assignments, train and develop employee job skills with support from the Building Specialist group leader.
Ensure compliance training, regular work assignments, special projects, and inspections are being performed and completed in a timely manner. Determines when adhesive will be mixed and when test will be performed on the mixture. Responsible for ensuring that the ingredients are in the area for mixing the adhesive. Assists the Webtron press operator with press set up and changeover, make-readies, machine adjustments and routine preventative maintenance procedures. Responsible for supporting the production areas by ordering the correct stock, moving components in and out of the areas, inputting information on the computer system, and maintaining a clean, safe, work environment.
Positively participates in performance dialogues and other team problem-solving activities. Sets up and operates a Gem/Cello machine, wholesale sealer, accumulator and shrink tunnel which shrinks poly film around wholesale unit of specialty items and/or operates a lift truck and keeps track of stock in the OAI. Performs all paperwork assigned involved in moving stock, either into or out of the department. Packs finished goods on a packaging line. Identifies potential problems, and shows willingness to proactively work on problem resolution and alternative solutions to traditional methods of operation. Flexibility is key as the incumbent will be expected to move to different work assignments as needed.

You'll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The retail merchandiser position consists of three major components:
Day-to-day engagement: Utilizing a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you'll restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. The use of technology is critical in this role, for the day-to-day work as well as communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys for required merchandising activities. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is also vital for success in this role. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
Holiday support: Hallmark's operations revolve around seasonal demand. Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you can expect additional days and extended hours during the work week. On occasions like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and Father's Day, you may be required to work on the actual holiday itself, which may include the weekend.
Department Resets: At times, you may be part of a team responsible for installations and various tasks like building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, as well as resetting card sections. Typically, you will be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments. This could include evenings or weekend.
One Team Vision: As part of Hallmark's field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers professionals that often times will support other team members as needed in their territories.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will be working on the selling floor as well as in back stockrooms. You must be able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also be required to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout your workday, and you may be required to climb stairs and step ladders.

The Production Support Specialist in Lawrence has a variety of duties that support production in numerous ways. Prepares greeting card stock for the Cutter to cut. Removes die cut cards from full sheets either using a hammer or by using an Automatic Card Extractor (ACE). Performs make-readies on the ACE and prepares rails/bars and press set-up. Responsible for quality sampling and stacking cards onto skids according to register, blockouts, salvage and spoilage. Determines when adhesive will be mixed and when test will be performed on the mixture. Responsible for ensuring that the ingredients are in the area for mixing the adhesive. Assists the Webtron press operator with press set up and changeover, make-readies, machine adjustments and routine preventative maintenance procedures. Responsible for supporting the production areas by ordering the correct stock, moving components in and out of the areas, inputting information on the computer system, and maintaining a clean, safe, work environment.
Positively participates in performance dialogues and other team problem-solving activities. Sets up and operates a Gem/Cello machine, wholesale sealer, accumulator and shrink tunnel which shrinks poly film around wholesale unit of specialty items and/or operates a lift truck and keeps track of stock in the OAI. Performs all paperwork assigned involved in moving stock, either into or out of the department. Packs finished goods on a packaging line. Identifies potential problems, and shows willingness to proactively work on problem resolution and alternative solutions to traditional methods of operation. Flexibility is key as the incumbent will be expected to move to different work assignments as needed.

In this position you will:
Perform make-ready duties on the Gem/Cello machines, ACE press and Webtron presses. Set up wholesale sealer and pack product into shipping containers. Mix adhesives and assure the proper ingredients and quantities are available in the area.
Execute Quality System including preflight, sampling plan and the removal of salvage/spoilage. Perform quality and/or adhesive test and report results in a timely manner. Plan and maintain the workflow through the department in accordance with work schedule. Order and deliver stock, cartons, and other components needed for production to the work area.
Achieve and continually improve specified production including production goals, throughput, etc. during training. Participate in performance dialogues and team problem-solving activities. .
Complete regular press maintenance and cleaning, including TPM's. Move skids of stock into and away from the press, including completion of related paperwork. Transport and handle hazardous waste material in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations. Be certified to operate power lift equipment and skid inverting machine.
Demonstrate the flexibility and teamwork to positively influence how goals are accomplished within shorter periods of time. Effectively communicate information to the next shift to ensure consistency and continuous operation.

The use of technology is critical in this role, for the day-to-day work as well as communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys for required merchandising activities. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is also vital for success in this role. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
* Holiday support: Hallmark's operations revolve around seasonal demand. Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you can expect additional days and extended hours during the work week. On occasions like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and Father's Day, you may be required to work on the actual holiday itself, which may include the weekend.
* Department Resets: At times, you may be part of a team responsible for installations and various tasks like building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, as well as resetting card sections. Typically, you will be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments. This could include evenings or weekend.
* One Team Vision: As part of Hallmark's field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers professionals that often times will support other team members as needed in their territories.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will be working on the selling floor as well as in back stockrooms. You must be able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also be required to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout your workday, and you may be required to climb stairs and step ladders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* You're at least 18 years of age.
* You're able to read, write and understand English.
* You have the ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
* Able to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
* You have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
* You have access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
