You will support children and families by answering incoming calls to the 241-KIDS hotline from mandated reporters, families and others in the community reporting suspected child maltreatment. You respectfully and thoroughly gather and document information, assist callers with questions and provide information about community resources. You will be responding in the field as needed on emergent reports to assess safety and meet mandated time frames. JOB DUTIES (SUMMARY):
Responds in the field in accordance with the priority of the report and mandated time frames. Conducts face to face interviews with all children in the household of assessment, parent/caregiver(s) and alleged maltreater(s) to make a decision regarding child safety.
Assessment shall include pertinent information collection from all parties regarding alleged maltreatment, surrounding circumstances, adult and child functioning, parenting practices, and discipline to ensure an accurate safety determination. Visits are conducted in homes, schools, hospitals, and other community settings as required
Completes intake assessment of reports alleging child maltreatment by telephone and/or face-to-face contact. Collects sufficient information regarding the alleged maltreatment, surrounding circumstances, adult and child functioning, parenting practices and discipline. Utilizes interpersonal skills to professionally and respectfully engage each individual in sharing behaviorally-specific and detailed information. Responsible for information collection through hospitals, law enforcement, etc. to complete an assessment of child safety. Completes intake assessment on reports of elder abuse and/or neglect by telephone and face to face contact.
Researches previous agency history, criminal history, court involvement and other applicable information providing a comprehensive summary for all individuals associated with report. Maintain written documentation of assessment activities.
Clinically evaluates information obtained creating a screening recommendation by identifying the presence or absence of Present or Impending Danger threats or alleged maltreatment and/or a need for agency involvement. Review presence or absence of safety threat(s) in consultation with Intake Supervisor. Implement necessary safety intervention when applicable.
Prepares Request for Legal Action and provides court testimony.
Completes appropriate jurisdictional referrals to other Public Child Welfare agencies or law enforcement agencies as required. Participates in required Unit Meetings and Agency Trainings as required.
Performs other related duties as required. Attends required training and unit meetings.

Summary of Job Duties: As the 911 Systems Technician at Hamilton County, you will support the daily operation and maintenance of Hamilton County's emergency communications technology, with primary responsibility for the Next Generation 911 (NG911) system. Summary of Job Duties: 1. Manage the day to day operations of the Department's Project Management Division related to Construction Improvements and addressing Deferred Maintenance Projects. 2. Provide direct Project Management duties on assigned Construction Projects. 3. Provide regular status reports to Department Leadership related to Project Budgets and Progress. 4. Administer Professional Design Service Agreements as assigned (i.e. Architect, Professional Engineers, etc.) 5. Manage the Department's Safety Program and update as required. + Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, or related field
5 years' experience, 2 years of which are in a management capacity.
The above may be substituted with equivalent combinations of education and experience which indicates a thorough knowledge of Management Practices, Government Structure, Ohio Revised Code, Civil Engineering Practices, Construction Management and Public Project Management which demonstrates the ability to apply management principles to practical work situations.
Driver's License issued in the state of residency.
Preferred Qualifications:
10 years' experience in a Construction Project Manager or Facilities Project Manager position or 5 years' experience as a Construction Senior Project/Program Manager position;
One (1) year Prevailing Wage Experience;
Certified Project Manager (CPM);
Building Operations Certification;
LEED AP Certification; • Member of/or eligible for Prof. Assoc. Cert., e.g. Proj Mngmt Institute
Hazardous Working Conditions:
May stand for long periods of time, lift heavy objects, and work in uncomfortably hot or cold environments, in awkward and cramped positions, or on ladders; could require working outdoors and be subject to inclement weather; lift up to 50 lbs without material handling device; ability to use and wear personal protective equipment: half-face respirators/dust mask, safety glasses, body harness for fall protection, arc flash clothing level two protection (hard hat, Class 2 gloves/leather, face shield, neck protector, coveralls), fire rated long sleeve shirts, earplugs/muffs and hand protection.
Position Specific Qualifications
Meet maximum weight requirements for ladders, personal fall protection equipment, and aerial lifts. Maximum lbs. include man and tools. Type 1A “Extra Heavy Duty Industrial Ladder” - maximum capacity of 300 lbs. Type 1AA “Special Duty Industrial Ladder” - maximum capacity of 375 lbs. Most personnel fall arrest equipment (full-body harness & lanyards) is labeled with a capacity limit of 310 lbs. Single Man Lifts - 300-350 lbs.

JOB DUTIES (SUMMARY):
Responds to and completes Specialized and Third-Party Assessments of child safety in response to Intake Reports of physical abuse, sexual abuse, and/or neglect of children when the maltreater is responsible for the care of a child in an out-of-home care setting (i.e. school teacher, day camp counselor, foster parent, kinship provider, pre- finalized adoptive parent, employee of a residential facility, licensed/approved child care provider or facility), has access to child by virtue of his/her employment or affiliation with an institution (i.e. Boy/Girl Scout leader, athletic coach), or has a potential conflict of interest with agency (i.e. employee, contract provider).
Conducts face to face interviews with children, caregivers/parents/out of home caretakers, alleged maltreaters and witnesses. Collects pertinent collateral information from other persons, service providers, and community partners. Consults with Placement, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS), law enforcement, licensing authorities, and other collateral parties as necessary.
Provides recommendations relating to the ongoing use of an out of home care provider and/or conditions of corrective action. Makes licensing recommendations to licensing entities. Completes required notifications to out of home care settings and licensing and supervising authorities. Assessment shall include pertinent information collection from all parties regarding alleged maltreatment, surrounding circumstances, adult and child functioning, parenting practices, and discipline to ensure an accurate safety determination. Visits are conducted in homes, schools, hospitals, and other community settings as required.
Responds to and completes Ongoing Assessments of child safety in response to Intake Reports of physical and sexual abuse, neglect, and dependency screened in on Cases receiving Ongoing case management services. Works collaboratively with Ongoing staff who have primary case responsibility.
Meets mandated timeframes and in accordance with federal, state and agency policy.
Reviews previous Children's Services history, criminal history, court involvement and other applicable information for all individuals associated with Intake report.
Conducts and engages families in face-to-face interviews with all children in the household of assessment, parent/caregiver(s), and alleged maltreater(s) to determine child safety. Conducts interviews in homes, schools, hospitals, and other community settings as required. Assessment shall include pertinent information collection from all parties regarding alleged maltreatment, surrounding circumstances, adult and child functioning, parenting practice and discipline to ensure an accurate safety determination.
In consultation with supervisor, conducts informed response to Intake Reports, assesses and determines child safety at every contact, identifies present and impending danger threats to child safety, and determines the disposition of the Intake Report within mandatory time frames.
Gathers information and analyzes parent/caregiver/placement provider protective capacities.
Partners with family and/or treatment team to develop and implement safety plans (present danger and impending danger) for children determined not to be safe.
When necessary, seeks medical evaluation of alleged child victims and completes referrals to law enforcement
Responsible for written documentation of assessment activities within required time frames including but not limited to Safety and Family Assessments, Ongoing and Specialized Assessments, Activity Logs, and Present Danger and Impending Danger Safety Plans.
Responsible for other mandated paperwork as outlined by state regulations and agency policy.
Consults with the Prosecutors office and seeks Court intervention as needed. Prepares Requests for Legal Action and provides court testimony to support Children's Services position. Responsible for case presentation at Dispositional Appeal Hearings and Foster Home Quality Review. Attends all relevant Dependency and Criminal Court Hearings as related to case assignments. Participates in Child Abuse Team Meeting with Children's
Hospital Child Abuse Team when necessary
Attends required training. Must attend and complete Caseworker CORE Training within first year of employment and thirty-six hours for every year thereafter. Must attend twelve hours of Domestic Violence Training and Human Trafficking Training within first two years of employment.
Must be available to communicate during work hours and on emergency basis for after- hours calls; Performs other related duties as assigned.
