Toe room is present, but workers are unable to flex their knees while standing at this station. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Monitors all areas of the school building and grounds: hallways, cafeteria, washrooms, locker rooms, parking lot, and grass areas. * Deters inappropriate student behavior through high visibility in student areas and the development of positive student interactions. * Refers students who violate school rules to the Deans' Office. * Assists students with difficulties with lockers, in the cafeteria, in the hallways, etc. * Direct visitor, parent, staff, and student traffic. Monitors student and faculty parking. * Enforces parking regulations, such as issuing student parking permits and determining which students violate parking regulations. * Assists adult staff and visitors by directing them to the appropriate parking areas and determines which adults violate parking regulations. * Greet, check, and direct visitors to the building. * Provides security for school dances, sporting events, and other extracurricular activities. * Attends and participates in staff/security meetings as needed. * Provide campus safety. * Performs other duties which may from time to time be assigned.     The HPHS Properties Head will facilitate all hand props, furniture, and set decoration needs for (1) musical and (2) non-musicals. They will collaborate with students, the Theatre Director, Costume Designer, and Theatre Technical Director in the research, creation, and implementation of props, furniture, and set decoration. Qualifications Bachelor's in Theater, Theatrical Design/Theater and/or previous Properties experience is recommended. General Expectations (for Properties Head) * Collaborate with the Theatre Director on the show's aesthetics and specific properties inherent to the artistic vision. * Work with the Technical Director and stage crew students to organize and maintain the school's properties & furniture inventory (digital inventory system). * Provide interested students with instruction on the basics of properties construction, properties research, and properties design. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (for Properties Head) * Read and analyze the scripts for each production * Attend all production meetings for each production * Provide a complete properties list to the Theatre Director and Technical Director for each production. * Collaborate with the Theatre Director to source or create rehearsal props as soon as possible for each production. * Collaborate with the Technical Director and stage crew students to rent, create, or source all properties for each show within the designated budget. * Work with all students to ensure their properties work well and they are comfortable using them. * Be on-site for Stage Crew meetings, tech rehearsals, and all dress rehearsals. Work Schedule Meet 2-3 times per week in preparation for shows. Shows perform late September/early October; Mid-February: Late April; Stipend is a Category 8 Evaluation Performance will be evaluated annually by Dr. Joaquin Stephenson in accordance with district policies.
