Intervene to de-escalate crisis situations and document all such situations and interventions performed. Respond to incidents. Complete logs, incident reports and all other required documentation. Make calls to the police, fire department and other first responders as directed. Perform administrative duties and receptionist duties at operations desk. Monitor the video surveillance cameras and fire prevention detection of alarm notification system. Ensure safety of all and security of all equipment. Perform other duties as assigned. Provide coverage for the general welfare and safety of the shelter residents, staff, and volunteers. Provide crisis prevention and intervention as needed. Incumbents in this position perform routine observation and enforcement work of the parking ordinances of the City of Buffalo and State of New York. This position is characterized by a broad responsibility for the issuance of parking summonses for violations on city streets, public/private property on a daily basis. Incumbents may be required to work any of the three shifts including weekends performing duties. They are guided by policy, procedures and specific guidelines in terms of services to be provided.
