As a Zuma Floor Assistant, you are responsible for supporting the service and kitchen teams with smooth operation of the restaurant by assisting with various tasks, including polishing utensils, cleaning spills, and replenishing supplies.

Main Duties
Your key responsibilities will include:
Ensure all glassware is perfectly polished and returned to service stations and bars, maintaining a clean and polished appearance
Assist in setting up and breaking down dining areas, ensuring they are clean and well-organized
Replenish supplies, such as napkins, condiments, and utensils, as needed to ensure that all tables are properly set and stocked for guest service
Monitor the cleanliness of the restaurant floor and promptly address any spills or messes to prevent slip hazards and maintain a safe environment for guests and staff

The Entry Polisher role is responsible for finishing and contouring equipment parts in department assigned independently, to standard.
What You'll Be Doing:
Performs color removal (Shot Peen Machine and array of polishing tools).
Correctly identifies and repairs basic defects independently.
Identifies material types and practice proper disposal of scrap as set by QA.
Understands how to correctly use the following functions within AS400 programing (i.e. sending Kanban cards, tracking Kanban card status and history.)
Utilizes and maintains Drawings, Setup Sheets and Operating Instructions.
Demonstrates consistency in practicing all safety procedures.
Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
Completes all required work within expected time requirements with excellent quality.

What We're Looking For:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
Must be at least 18 years of age
1- 3 years of polishing experience
Ability to frequently lift or move objects up to 60 lbs.
Ability to stand for 8 or more consecutive hours a day.
Good vision (ability to see intricate details).
Manual Dexterity (continuous use of air tools and grinding wheels).
Knowledge of various hand tools, air tools, and polishing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
Knowledge of basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
Ability to understand manufacturing processes such as Kanban, AS400, BOM viewer, method sheets, etc.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
Basic computer skills are a plus
Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background check screen, and motor vehicle screen (if applicable)

Evaluate feed screws for rework. Describe work scope and submit to estimating.
OD grind, straighten, root grind, and final polish (color buff) screw.
Train with existing co-workers to learn the "art" of metal finishing and polishing.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a polisher/finisher.
High School Education, with preferred emphasis on vocational training in manufacturing.
Proficiency with hand and power tools. Should have own tools.

Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Reads blueprints, routers or other instructions to determine method of grinding or polishing. Optimizes finishing operations in the most efficient manner.
Uses hand tools, air tools or polishing lathes to scrape or rub parts. Holds parts against buffing or grinding wheel. Deburrs or polishes parts. Cleans interior surfaces of holes. Applies abrasive compound, wax or other dressing to facilitate cleaning or polishing operation. Produces bright buff finish.
Duplicates the same process from part to part. Verifies quality by using basic measuring equipment such as micrometers or calipers. Identifies and segregates rejected parts.
Adequately documents new jobs and modifies existing jobs.
Changes wheels or replaces belts on polishing lathes. Changes tools on powered equipment. Cleans polishing lathe with acetone. Operates ultrasonic cleaners and add solutions as necessary. Monitors dust collector.
Trains and mentors lower level associates.
Work overtime as necessary.
Other jobs as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in production environment. Possesses basic knowledge of safety equipment and practices.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, routers and written procedures.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
