We are looking for ambitious JANITOR AND MAINTENANCE STAF F who know how to provide a Memorable Experience for our Guests. Can you:

*Clean all restaurant facilities and provide miscellaneous light maintenance and repairs in a timely manner
* Clean, vacuum, mop and organize facilities in the restaurant
* Polish brass
* Clean all windows
* Clean and re-stock bathrooms
* Basic plumbing and electrical
* Some light carpentry as needed
* Ensure a safe environment for Guests and Employees
* Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
* Perform these duties with a friendly, professional manner
* Be passionate about working under pressure, in a fast paced, team environment
* Be available on ALL Holidays
* Lift 30 to 50 pounds
* Remain patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure

Blue Chip is a leading Commercial Cleaning company who is looking for some enthusiastic people to join our team.

* Assists other workers with: running errands, i.e. retrieving supplies/materials for tasks, holding objects (materials requiring more than one person), cleaning up after completion of tasks, etc.

* Must comply with work order system to include interpreting work orders, performing work requested and completing work orders per instruction.
* Safely operates various hand tools in the performance of routine building maintenance tasks
* Can perform routine and minor repairs such as plumbing, fixture replacement & repair, wall patching, sanding & painting touch up, minor electrical work; such as is done at home.
* Operates basic cleaning equipment.
* Moves furniture and equipment as assigned.
* Performs non-technical tasks such as delivering, receiving, painting, snow removal and watering.
* May assist in inventory of materials for reference.
* Loads or unloads material, parts or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors or trucks.
* Ensures all light fixtures are operational, changes light bulbs as necessary.
* Observes assigned area(s) for damage, etc., and reports to supervisor items needing attention: makes simple repairs and adjustments including unstopping toilet(s) as requested.
* May be required to perform a variety of cleaning tasks including but not limited to: dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, trash collection and removal, in occupied, restroom and commons area cleaning. May operate floor scrubber, buffers or other heavy cleaning equipment.
* May be required to mix appropriate chemical(s) per manufacturer's specifications.
* Complies with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards.
* Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
* Performs any other miscellaneous duties as requested.

Shift: 40 hrs/week weekends included

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time

Qualifications:

* High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
* Ability to read labels, directions, etc.
* Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks which include ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
* Possess a Valid Drivers License in the State of Ohio
* Must have reliable transportation
* Ability to work second or third shift, holidays, and weekends as required.
* Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.

Job Description:


Under limited supervision, perform basic maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment and other minor repairs at a facility/building/property that may be required from time to time.


Essential Job Duties:



Maintains facility/building/property in a safe, clean and secure condition in accordance with required Company standards and safe working practices.

Performs general maintenance work such as installing fixtures, basic electrical work, simple plumbing, carpentry and landscaping.

Responsible for regularly checking the condition of any tools, ladders, equipment etc. and report any defects to the home management.

Assist with cleaning windows, toilets, floors, carpets, walls and furniture in the building, using dusters, mops, brushes, vacuum and other cleaning equipment.

Responds to emergency calls when directed by employer or office staff.

Performs routine inspections of property to check for maintenance problems.

May perform other duties as assigned

Skills, Education and Experience:

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required

Minimum 4 years related work experience

A positive attitude to customer care

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to function as a team member in a demanding service environment

Willingness and ability to complete required safety classes that pertain to specific job duties

Working Conditions: Normal working conditions with the absence of disagreeable elements
