    Job Description Mr. Handyman of St Charles Co and Chesterfield Valley has an immediate opening for a Service Technician in Saint Peters, MO. As the Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, repairing, carpentry, and general handyperson tasks for residential and commercial customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in both home repair and commercial maintenance, as well as strong technical skills and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients. Responsibilities: Maintain an appearance and demeanor representative of the Mr. Handyman image, the Mr. Handyman level of quality, and the Mr. Handyman Way. Identify and diagnose issues with equipment and systems, using diagnostic tools and testing equipment as needed to determine the root cause of problems. Repair, replace, or restore faulty components or parts, equipment, and systems to proper working condition. Inspect own work in customers' homes and/or businesses to ensure all work is thoroughly completed, meeting Mr. Handyman quality standards and meeting or exceeding customers' expectations. Manage customer relations, including collection of payments (Credit, Cash, Check, PO, etc.), invoicing, and needed documentation utilizing iPads and provided software systems. Ensure organization and security are kept top of mind at all times. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while performing maintenance and repair tasks, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following safety protocols. Report all injuries immediately. Injured workers must immediately be seen by a physician/clinic specified by the supervisor. Abide by all rules, regulations, and policies contained in the employee handbook, safety manual, and employment agreement, including active participation in identifying, reporting, and correcting situations affecting safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Attend and participate in all staff meetings. Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and prevent future issues, including cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and vehicles. Report all deficiencies or unusual characteristics of the Mr. Handyman vehicle or equipment. Qualifications: Punctuality, dependability, neat appearance, professional grooming, thoroughness, consistency with service and solution-oriented perspective Empathy and ability to listen, customer service, and interpersonal skills. High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or vocational training in a related field preferred. 8 years of experience as a service technician in the home repair and/or commercial maintenance industry. Technicians should have their own tools to use. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and hand/power tools. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written in English. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, stretch, lift, and carry in a manner consistent with normal home or commercial repair or maintenance activities. Maintain and be available to work the required business hours established for serving customers, without tardiness, interruption, or early departure. Typical business hours are M-F 8am-5pm. Ability to read, interpret, and navigate maps throughout the assigned territory area. Mr. Handyman of St Charles Co and Chesterfield Valley is committed to providing safe work conditions.
