Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

* Helps repair and maintain fences, playground equipment, gates, and walks and walkways using a hammer, saws, paint brushes; appropriate hand tools, spade, pick, hoe, shovels; and operating edgers, string trimmer, blower, and vacuum as directed.
* Assist in the maintenance tasks associated with the care of grounds, landscaping, trees, facilities, and other City property including cleaning restrooms, preparing ball fields, planting trees, dragging brush, assisting with tree work, and emptying garbage cans.
* May operate small trucks and utility vehicles, light equipment, and power tools necessary to complete maintenance for the above assigned areas.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of: Functions, characteristics and proper use and care of common hand tools and safe work practices.
Ability to: Be trained in the use of supplies, tools and equipment used in in the work areas as described above in a variety of weather conditions. Basic skills in following simple oral and written instructions; skills in performing manual work, lifting heavy objects up to 90 pounds; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other persons.
Special Requirements:
* Possession of a valid California Class C Driver's License and a good driving record is required.
* Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age at time of hire.

+ Confirm and document patient's family/friend/designee and visitors preferred language in Apex for updates from or physician
+ Coordinate communication between all applicable medical center units and physicians with patients, family, and approved visitors.

+ Provide on-the-job training for new staff.
+ Responsible for coordinating access to additional resources for patients/families and visitors when needed (ie: patient relations, spiritual care services, social work and community services).
