Position Summary: We are seeking skilled, personable, and reliable Craftsmen to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform a wide range of home and business maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks. You will represent our brand with professionalism and integrity, ensuring customer satisfaction on every job.
Responsibilities: - Perform carpentry repairs and installations, including doors, windows, trim, shelving, cabinetry, and drywall repair. - Complete general home maintenance tasks such as caulking, painting, tile and grout repair, weather stripping, and hardware installation. - Conduct fence and gate repairs, deck maintenance, and other minor exterior projects. - Assemble furniture, hang pictures, mirrors, shelves, and other fixtures. - Conduct routine home maintenance inspections and offer recommendations for preventive care. - Document work performed and communicate clearly with customers regarding project details. - Operate in compliance with Hawaii state handyman regulations, avoiding work that requires specialized licenses (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or any work requiring a C-class contractor license). - Follow all safety guidelines, Ace Handyman Services procedures, and local/state compliance requirements. - Look around property and communicate to customers things you could repair or things that our business can handle. - Take the time to earn the customer's confidence and then inquire about additional work that could be performed. - Sometimes, we take the time to fix something small and then point it out to the customer to help them understand that we are capable of doing more. - Someone who is punctual and efficient, maintains the highest integrity and strives for top customer satisfaction.
Requirements: - 3+ years of verifiable experience in residential or commercial handyman, carpentry, or maintenance work. - Knowledge of basic tools, materials, and repair techniques. - Strong customer service and communication skills. - Valid Hawaii driver's license with a clean driving record. - Ability to pass a background check in accordance with Hawaii state requirements. - Must comply with Hawaii Administrative Rules §16-77 and Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 444
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with a national home services brand. - Familiarity with digital work order systems or apps. - Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively across multiple projects. The ideal Craftsman should possess a good overall knowledge of all trades: plumbing, carpentry, tile, electrical.
