Summary Of Role:
This candidate will be able to perform a variety of general repair and maintenance tasks, often tackling a wide range of odd jobs and projects that don't require a specialized technician. Candidate will possess appropriate skills to handle these tasks, and the tools required to perform.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs and troubleshooting on various items, such as:
Drywall patching
Painting walls and ceilings
Minor mechanical repairs
Rough and Finish Carpentry tasks
Replacing light fixtures and bulbs
Repairing leaky pipes
Assembling furniture
Building shelves
Replacing damaged tiles
Installing locksets and other hardware
Installing window treatments
Clean and maintain work areas, including sweeping, dusting, and routine landscaping.
Take direction from Project Coordinators, Assistant Project Coordinators, and other job supervisors.
Follow all company protocols and safety procedures.
Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Identify and report the need for major repairs.

Snow and ice removal by use of equipment, chemical, or hand tools.
Occasional operation of skid steers, excavators, loaders, etc.
Equipment repair and preventative maintenance.
Planting of shrubs, trees, grass, and flowers.
Trash and litter collection and disposal in grassed areas, plant and shrub beds, wooded areas, sidewalks, streets, and curbs.
Repairs to irrigation systems.
Applications of fertilizer and or insecticides.
Install rock by use of equipment or hand tools.
Drive/operate government and or company motorized vehicles to include but not limited to; aerial bucket trucks, crane trucks, pick-up/flatbed trucks (heavy and light load), cars, forklifts, and golf carts.
Assisting in repair or construction as needed on roads, walks, bridges, buildings, equipment, etc.
Cleaning of comfort and smoking stations.
Furniture relocations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.
Experience in landscaping and/or groundskeeping is preferred.
Ability to skillfully operate riding lawn mowers of different orientations, i.e. Zero Turn, Tractor, Sulky.
Ability to skillfully operate various commonly used small grounds keeping equipment, i.e. weed eaters, edger's, etc.
Read and understand simple landscape plans and construction drawings.
Ability to work safely with appropriate manual and power tools, mechanical and electrical equipment, to the assigned tasks.
Ability to operate a snowplow truck is preferred; if not already able, it is expected to be able to develop this skill.
Ability to operate bobcat equipment and various attachments is preferred.
Aptitude to work both individually and in collaborative, team-oriented environments.
Must have a working knowledge and comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
Must possess valid driver's license and driving history must meet company standards throughout employment.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a background check as a condition of employment and to obtain access to federal installations.
