Must be an expert in the operation of all types of hand tools and shop equipment utilized in the building maintenance trade, including routers, planners, band saws, table saws, concrete saws, core boring equipment, etc. On an independent basis, the individual must be able to evaluate the use of various resources and make knowledgeable decisions in regard to safety and company standards and policies. Must have a good understanding of Abbott Engineering Standards and their application to facility maintenance. Must know all CMMS functions that pertain to building maintenance, PM and related activities. Preferred Qualifications Have completed all requirements of the Abbott STEP program for building maintenance persons. This experience must indicate proficiency in all aspects of building construction and maintenance work including the demonstrated ability to work well with others in a commercial and/or industrial work environment.
