Job Description
The Handyman is responsible for completing a wide variety of residential and light commercial repair, maintenance, and improvement projects. This individual must be highly skilled, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects while maintaining professionalism with clients.
Compensation:
$12 - $20 hourly
Responsibilities:
Perform general home repairs, maintenance, and installations (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and basic HVAC preferred).
Complete work orders assigned through the company's scheduling system in a timely and professional manner.
Conduct routine property inspections, including 3-month and annual checkups for managed properties.
Communicate clearly with property managers, owners, and tenants about project details, timelines, and materials needed.
Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, materials used, and before/after photos for records.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Identify potential maintenance issues and recommend solutions or preventive measures.
Assist with make-readies, turnovers, and small remodels as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or in a similar role (3+ years preferred).
Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose repairs independently.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Must provide own basic tools (specialty tools provided as needed).
Ability to pass a background check.
