Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation: Starting rate of $28.00 - $28.42, actual wage adjusted based on experience

Job Summary:
The experienced carpenter will work with other trades people on a variety of projects, tasks and work orders as well as independently. A wide variety of work across the resort. Will also assist with basic maintenance tasks associated with a ski area; snow removal, snow blowing and assuring a safe place for staff & guests. This position will be performing manual labor and semi-skilled work while assisting in a variety of projects including job sites, loading and delivering materials, general construction activities, and maintaining overall safety of the worksite.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Act as site/project supervisor for a variety of work and locations. Provide leadership to all staff on the job
Cleaning/preparing job sites, loading and unloading and delivery of materials needed for projects
Assist with installation, maintenance, and operation of various projects
Have full mastery of all aspects of construction and maintenance tasks and tools
Be competent in all departmental safety precautions, policies and procedures; maintain the safety of the worksite
Performs daily equipment safety checks. Provide a safe work place for all staff and public
Repair, finish and paint drywall, wood and other substrates
Properly use, maintain, care for tools, equipment, vehicle(s), and work areas
Repair, stain and paint interior and exterior surfaces, buildings and furniture
Perform general maintenance and carpentry work
Cut, fit and assemble various materials into functional assemblies
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Valid US driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to work weekends and holidays (required)
Basic hand tools: battery drill, saw and other tools consistent with carpentry.
Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
Ability to climb and work from a ladder, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, walk, twist, grasp to perform essential job functions
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and experience with all facets of roofing, siding and other carpentry fields
Good foundation of mechanical skills and constructions procedures & tasks
Must be able to stand and work in movement limiting situations for extended periods
Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Communicate clearly and effectively
The ability to estimate and detail necessary materials for all types of carpentry & construction activities and projects
Be a team player
Ensure safety requirements are always met and adhered to
Ability to comfortably communicate with our guests
