Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana, is a private liberal arts college that offers a multidisciplinary approach to its academic programs, with specializations in the sciences, education and business. Student life is full of resources. More than 60 student clubs and organizations are available to join, as well as eight fraternities and sororities. Omnibus, a student-run organization, coordinates trips to events like sports games, recreational activities and Shakespeare festivals in Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Louisville. Hanover is right outside the historic district of Madison, Indiana, which is full of specialty shops, restaurants and entertainment opportunities. Academics include more than 30 bachelor's degrees in fields like arts and letters, natural sciences, humanities, theology and social sciences. Students also have the opportunity to design their own major if the school does not offer one in their field of interest. Pre-professional programs are offered in dentistry, law, medicine, pharmacy, physical therapy and veterinary sciences. Admissions require students to submit an application, ACT/SAT scores, secondary school report form and personal essay. Students who have earned AP, IB or dual-credit courses may be eligible to receive Hanover college credits. Hanover offers merit-based, need-based and departmental scholarships to eligible students.
