A Day in the Life of a Civil Engineer (EIT) at Hanson Here's a snapshot of what you would do in this role: Perform engineering design including analysis, calculations, layout, and drafting of details Prepare and produce construction plans and modify specifications Develop engineering estimates and quantities for construction Coordinate and communicate field construction activities with clients, contractors, and project team members Collaborate with design teams across local and national offices Support civil sitework, roads, utilities, drainage, and infrastructure projects from concept through construction administration Other duties as assigned What We're Looking For- We feel the following qualifications would set you up for success in this role: Skills Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, Excel, Word, and ArcGIS (preferred) Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to communicate complex technical concepts visually and in writing Interest in diverse assignments and innovative design technologies Ability to work independently and collaboratively to solve problems and learn new skills Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or successful completion of the FE Exam prior to hire Minimum 1 year of professional experience in a civil engineering environment (preferred) Additional Information Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed Valid driver's license required Salary Range: $74,000 - $82,000 Benefits Our focus on people means we offer a generous benefits program to help you create a solid foundation for health and security throughout your career, including: Competitive compensation Performance bonuses 401(k) with matching contribution Employee Stock Ownership Plan Comprehensive health & well-being plans Financial wellness plans Work-life balance programs Want to know more?
