Facility: Kennestone Hospital Work Hours: Part-time Days - 8am-4:30pm (24 hrs per pay period) The Cardiac-Vascular Sonographer functions in a dual-role position as both Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer. As such, must conform to the job roles and responsibilities of that both provide: The Cardiac-Vascular Sonographer functions under the direction of the Manager or Chief or Lead Sonographer and is responsible for performing all cardiac imaging; which includes, if performed at your designated facility, adult, pediatric, trans esophageal and stress echocardiograms. As well as perform all vascular imaging including: , carotid duplex imaging, Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) with and without exercise, AAA Screening, Aorta, and upper and lower extremity arterial and venous scans. Experience with venous reflux studies preferred but not required (if applicable). Perform measurements and calculations according to laboratory protocol, provides written or an oral summary of preliminary findings to the interpreting Physician, is responsible for the safety and well-being of all patients in the department, must possess the ability to communicate effectively with the patient(s) and health care team, must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs. Must be dependable, accountable and cooperative. Have the knowledge and ability to obtain a quality diagnostic study properly and safely. The Cardiac-Vascular Sonographer may also be asked to inject/administer Ultrasound Image Enhancing Agents as well as saline bubble studies. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
