The ideal candidates will be based locally in the Chalmette, LA area. This person will be able to install pipe hangers and fabricate piping spools from spool sheets and isometric drawings. This is a local job and does not pay per-diem so the ideal candidate must live within 50 miles of Chalmette, LA. Requirements: Must be able to pass drug screen. Must be able to pass background check. Must be committed to safety and quality Responsibilities: Installs pipe and all related pipe material per drawings and specifications. Fabricates piping spools from spool sheets and isometric drawings. Flame cuts pipe to length and bevels, cleans and prepares pipe for fit-up Performs layout, rigging and transportation of pipe, valves and fittings. Job Duties & Essential Functions: : This position is a field position requiring daily travel to, through and in field construction sites, in outdoor ambient conditions, including extreme weather, uneven surfaces, heights and locations where chemicals and flammable materials are being used, processed and treated, approximately 100% of the time. This position is a physically mobile position, requiring the ability to navigate within a construction and manufacturing environment, as well as an office environment. Must be able to lift, carry and manipulate at least 45 pounds consistently. Must be able to drive a vehicle; Accurate and clear vision and hearing. The position requires the use of a phone and computer, requiring sufficient digital manipulation skills to utilize a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone and numerous tools. Sufficient body dexterity to bend, stop, and reach for or otherwise gather tools, construction materials and office materials and equipment on an ongoing basis. Ability to remain seated for extended periods of time, as well as stand for extended periods. Ability to maintain a clear, understandable speaking voice, capable of communicating vital business information to internal/external contacts. Jefferson RISE opened in 2015 with its founding 6th grade class of 120 students. Currently located in Gretna, Jefferson RISE provides a middle and high school education to students on the Westbank of Jefferson Parish. For the 2019-20 school year, RISE enrolls students in 6th through 10th grade. By 2021, RISE will have full enrollment in grades 6-12. On the Westbank, less than 1/3 of our incoming students are on grade level in ELA and Math. Position Overview Assessment Proctors are responsible for facilitating and administering tests and exams for students who require small group and individual accommodations or for students who previously missed an exam while absent. Reporting to the Assessment Coordinator, proctors are responsible for administering exams and make-up exams, assisting students with understanding testing requirements, troubleshooting system or equipment malfunctions, and maintaining student records.
