The willingness of regular floor team to work together and get things done.

Cons of working at Harbor Freight Tools

Management is really good about favoritism and not holding themselves accountable for things they write up lowere level people up for. They also Never even give you a chance to tell your side of something . If they're told something, you get written up regardless of whether it's rumor or not and those write ups Do count against you. They also have un realistic guidelines for getting truck done with Very Few employees scheduled, and if you're not on the right side of things, they will find a reason to let you go. Not as great a place as everyone makes it out to be. Recognition from management is very low unless you re part of the - in their pocket group. They're very Un emotional and don't seem to care when they lose a great person

Having leaders that actually do care about the fact that people have personal things going on that may affect work and not just getting rid of them.

I streamlined my resume for the specific job I was after and made myself think of legitimate questions that would help me to get the job

It was the members of my specific team. They were all younger but had great work ethic and were very mature. unlike upper management

my team and their willingness to work together. Also their reliability considering ALL were much younger. It was 1000x better than Every manager there

Been in control, and knowing what is happening all the time. The full day to day operations, payroll, scheduling, sales, and logistics and stock control and the best of customer service.

The discount is nice

Cons of working at Harbor Freight Tools

No communication with management. Purposely not staffing enough to keep costs low. Constant corporate visits that stop the entire store while still expecting everything to get done. No accountability for management. Petty right up reasons that you don't receive ANY prior warning/coaching for. All the boxes come in broke and filthy from the truck. Expected to run register even if your hired for logistics. They use your picture without asking around the store. Management does not care what the situation is, if the customer complains, it's always your fault. Corporate and store managers all know either other. The managers have a private text chain where they do nothing but tear down others.

While the flexible schedule was good I didn’t like the fact that my schedule was never consistent and was always changing

Since I was just part-time I was pleased to find out I did get PTO. And COVID pay however that’s about the only benefits I got
