Family Centered Treatment-Recovery Peer Specialist
The Peer Specialist is an active member of the treatment team and provides peer support services to individuals with substance use disorder under the supervision of a Peer Recovery Peer Supervisor (PRPS). The Peer Specialist will function, with training and lived experience, as a role model to individuals; exhibiting competency in personal recovery and use of life skills; and will serve as a recovery advocate, providing information and peer support for individuals in outpatient and residential settings. A wide array of tasks are performed to assist individuals of all ages in regaining independence within the community and mastery over their own recovery process. Collaboration with the treatment team in documenting the following on the peer's treatment/recovery plan: goals, treatment planning, life skills coaching, resource referral, conducting recovery groups, assist with discharge planning and individual peer sessions.
Qualifications

This person must be proficient in interpersonal and communication skills, as well as time management and organizational skills. Registration in the state as a Peer in Training (PIT) is required. Education and/or Experience
Minimum of a GED or high school diploma; Bachelor's degree in the human service field is preferred. Applicants must register as a Peer in Training (PIT). Formal training in the Arkansas Model is required.

The Peer Specialist is a member of a recovery team and is expected to attend meetings as needed and trainings as required.
Provide individualized family case management inclusive of community resources, implement WRAP or other comparable tools, support the families relapse recovery plan, and help facilitate the contingency management process
The FCT-R Peer Specialist will complete training and make consistent progress toward achieving certification from the Family Centered Treatment Foundation (FCTF). In addition to online-based training and required readings, the certification process requires videotaped demonstration of competencies in the field with real clients.
Once certified, the FCT-R Peer Specialist will complete all activities necessary to maintain certification from FCT-R.

Ensure proper functioning of surgical equipment and instruments.
Verify and maintain the sterile field to meet safety standards.
Prepare patients for surgery by cleaning and disinfecting incision sites and positioning them on the operating table.
Intraoperative Assistance:
Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and other team members during procedures.
Anticipate the surgeon's needs to ensure a smooth workflow.
Manage specimens for laboratory analysis following proper protocols.
Assist with retracting tissue, applying suction, or cutting sutures as directed.
Postoperative Duties:
Clean and restock the operating room after procedures.
Ensure proper disposal of biohazard materials and sharps.
Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
Assist in transferring patients to recovery areas.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Communicate effectively with team members to address any concerns or equipment needs during surgery.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to strict aseptic and infection-control techniques.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:
Education: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent training.
Certifications:
