What you will do:

Manage media monitoring platform, creating detailed reports on HarbourVest's brand position amongst our peers
Work cross-functionally with marketing team to plan, create, and launch creative campaigns and compelling stories that resonate with audiences across the Americas
Establish goals and create strategy for meeting media relations results and metrics, working closely with colleagues across teams and functions
Partner with global peers, the Americas IR team and investment SMEs to align efforts globally to support fundraising goals
Build strong relationships with global colleagues across channels, including PR, Internal Communications, Product Marketing, Digital, Design, Events, and Thought leadership.

Position Summary
We are seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Assistant Controller to oversee all aspects of financial analysis, accounting, taxation, treasury functions, internal controls, external auditors, and third-party service providers. Review involves completeness of reconciliation, supporting files and relies upon Assistant Controller's knowledge of the investment portfolio and complex fund structures / rebalancing concept.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Oversee month/quarter-end pricing, financial reporting, and accounting for funds, ensuring a deep understanding of underlying investments.
Review quarterly rebalance templates and mechanics, as well as management and incentive fee calculations.
Ensure quarterly and annual financial statements comply with US GAAP, Lux GAAP, and other applicable standards.
Coordinate technical accounting research and apply findings to fund and investment activities.
Maintain relationships and coordinate audits with third-party fund administrators, external auditors, and tax advisers.
Prepare and analyze fund cash flow, oversee operating cash, and coordinate payments and liquidity assessments with internal and external teams.
Compile and review financial information for regulatory filings (e.g., Form ADV/PF, Annex IV), and respond to ad hoc senior management and client inquiries.
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fielding questions and supporting portfolio management and controller analyses.

Qualifications
Proven track record of owning the day-to-day operations with fund administrators, including communications for capital calls, distributions, redemptions, and financial reporting
8-12 Years of private equity, semi-liquid / retail product, SEC registered product, or infrastructure/real assets accounting and reporting experience

Communicate ideas and information clearly and effectively across all audiences.
