Coordinates activities of departments to maximize service, conformance to quality requirements, and efficiency. Develops policies, initiatives, and operations changes to be implemented within the manufacturing group. Develops manufacturing/facility capital budget and requests and provides justification for financial analysis. Participates in annual strategic planning meeting and quarterly updates. Plans, develops, and implements new projects. Manages large projects as required. Supports new product development in terms of raw material procurement, pilots, process and equipment development. Understands and experienced with P&L statements and ability to act upon them. Contributes to cost savings opportunities. Conducts daily and/or weekly operational meetings with teams to discuss manufacturing schedule, non-conforming product, process changes, personnel, and other departmental and company information. Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, and conformance to procedures and specifications. Participates in CNP process, investigating and presenting findings in weekly meeting for all Ohio NC runs. Initiates and responds to CAPA's as required. Develops and follow-up on preventative measures. Initiates and responds to quality management change requests and plans. Evaluates all assigned employees performances by conducting bi-annual reviews with each employee. Helps develop new products and processes while making continuous improvements to those already in place. Acts a liaison between departments to ensure steady and constant flow of finished product and raw materials.
