Hands-on troubleshooting of equipment issues providing technical direction to maintenance and contractors as required. Devise PM strategies and spare parts lists as required. Conducting root cause analysis to determine the underlying cause of problems on equipment in effort to maximize equipment uptime and throughput. Developing and implementing new maintenance procedures and standard work for repair. Designing and implementing new procedures for monitoring and testing equipment. Research and recommend new technologies and processes that can improve equipment performance and reliability. Manage a variety of capital and non-capital projects as the Project Manager or Project Lead. Utilizing fundamentals of project management, i.e. scope, specification, design review, budget and WBS/Schedule governed by change management. Knowledge of FEL process a plus. Effectively communicate project expectations and status to team members and stakeholders in a clear and timely manner. Effectively contribute to achieving departmental goals and KPI's (Uptime, MTTR, PM compliance, etc.) Schedule contractors and manage day-to-day activities to complete projects on time Implementing appropriate plans to improve profitability by maximizing efficiency to include waste, speed, delay, and raw material usage using Lean Manufacturing principles. Be directly involved with continuous improvement teams, which may include being facilitator of a team or group of teams. Incorporate safety into all aspects of the department and ensure safe working conditions during all activities associated within the manufacturing environment. Procurement activities including writing RFQ's, obtaining bids, evaluating bids, making purchase recommendations and writing purchase requisitions. Design countermeasures and engineering trials; verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
