**What You'll Be Doing**
**Job Scope:** The Buyer is responsible for the purchasing needs for the assigned project or department and acts as a liaison between vendors and the Company in Westlake, LA.
**Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:**
+ Handles purchasing for projects, operations, maintenance, and other departments as required
+ Reviews requisitions regularly; converts to purchase orders up to approved authority
+ Markets requests with appropriate vendors; keeps lists of vendors related to standard items stocked and/or purchased
+ Places orders with vendors in accordance with approved POs
+ Verifies price, delivery date and any other charges pertaining to orders
+ Makes necessary changes to orders in system
+ Solves invoice problems; forwards invoices with errors to appropriate parties for correction
+ Matches received orders to approved purchase orders; updates purchase order system; ensures information is disseminated to appropriate parties
+ Researches goods not received based upon orders placed
+ Handles calls from vendors concerning deliveries, unpaid invoices
+ Participates in procurement meetings
+ Functions as a team member with other procurement department members
+ Acts as back up to other team members; assists Supervisor as required
+ Submits special reports as requested
+ Monitors and follows up on back orders
+ Works with systems group as necessary to ensure procurement systems are functioning properly
+ Researches vendor statements to ensure proper balances
+ Trains regularly on all Federal, state and local environmental regulations, requirements and guidelines; follows and adheres to all guidelines, regulations, and requirements
+ Abides by all safety procedures and practices applicable to location and position; participates in appropriate safety training; demonstrates commitment to and support of EHSS principles and values; champions safety at all times; participates in and/or leads safety teams or projects as appropriate
+ Performs other duties assigned by management that generally fall within the expected scope of this position
**Ideal Background**
**Education:** High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain, accounting, finance, or similar field preferred, College accounting or business courses helpful.
**Experience:** Requires 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in procurement, business or accounting experience preferred
**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
+ Excellent computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, various email and internet programs and applications, financial programs, databases, and other programs used by the Company
+ Experience working with purchase orders
+ Knowledge of chemical industry vendors
+ Ability to multi-task; organizational skills
+ Customer service focus; ability to deal with diverse personalities; negotiation and conflict resolution skills

**What You'll Be Doing**
**The Hargrove Recruiting Team is looking for talented Structural Engineers to join our team in Kingsport, Tennessee. This role is ideal for someone with experience with AISC, ACI, steel structures such as pipe racks and process structures, concrete foundations, concrete structures.**
**Job Summary:** Generally responsible for performing all aspects for complete design of complex civil/structural engineering assignments. Work at this level requires extensive progressive experience in civil/structural engineering and involves applying advanced engineering techniques and analysis. This work will be performed under general supervision as a part of an on-site team in Kingsport, TN.

**Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:**
+ Familiarity with and utilizing department design and drafting standards.
+ Familiarity with project scope, specifications and design criteria upon assignment to a project task team.

+ Producing estimate level preliminary designs and material take-offs suitable for the level of the estimate being performed on a project.

+ Assisting the drafting group in resolving routine layout and detailing problems. Responsibility to furnish sufficient sketches and details necessary for completion of engineering drawings.
+ Consulting with design leaders from other disciplines to ensure the smooth flow of vital information necessary for the scheduled completion of the project.
+ Advising the senior engineer concerning design or scope changes, which have been identified.
+ Assisting other engineers in developing and assembling scopes, drawings and specifications into a "package", enabling civil/structural purchase inquiries to be issued for procurement of materials or subcontract pricing.
+ Reviewing and checking vendor drawings and other discipline drawings for civil/structural input.
+ Developing construction specifications.
+ Reviewing fabrication drawings and other construction submittals for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.
+ Performing fieldwork necessary to gather field data, check tie-ins and provide construction support.
+ Providing technical guidance to less experienced drafting and engineering personnel in the department.
+ Ability to lead small to large size teams in coordinating civil/structural efforts and keeping the team focused on scope, schedule and budget.
+ Ability to identify and develop work sharing packages for interoffice execution support. Provide leadership to ensure communication and execution of work within scope, schedule and budget.
+ Estimating and scheduling professional service hours and assessing the progress and quality of civil/structural work.
**Ideal Background**
**Education:** Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required. Structural coursework is required for structural engineering positions.
**Registration:** Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
**Experience:** This position requires 6+ years of relevant industrial experience in civil/structural engineering.
**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
+ Knowledge and application of the International Building Code and associated standards (ASCE, AISC, ACI, etc.)
+ Expertise with civil/structural analysis software including operating and interpreting results.
+ Knowledge of the discipline specific methods, practices and techniques required to engineer, design and construct process and manufacturing projects.
+ Able to lead a small to large team to deliver on commitments.
+ Able to deliver convincing presentations of Hargrove Engineers & Constructors services.
+ Working knowledge of CAD software, either AutoCAD, Microstation or both.

What You Will Do

Compensation Data

Job Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs
Prepare and serve coffees, teas, specialty beverages per brand standards
