What You Will Do:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Composites Lab Technician to join our advanced manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate sophisticated equipment in our preforming laboratory to fabricate high-quality preforms for ceramic matrix composite turbine engine parts. You will play a critical role in supporting the development of components for aerospace applications while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Operate and maintain all equipment in the preforming (composites) lab, including ply cutters, and ovens to fabricate preforms for ceramic matrix composite turbine engine parts
Perform layup operations on tools and debulk parts according to established work instructions and technical specifications
Maintain and organize tooling used in preforming processes; provide input and recommendations for tool design improvements
Monitor raw material supplies, track inventory levels, and ensure adequate stock of materials required for ongoing operations
Load equipment with parts according to documented configurations and process conditions; verify accuracy and completeness of setup
Program equipment and adjust settings to accommodate new processes, materials, or production requirements
Conduct regular preventive and corrective maintenance on preforming equipment; troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues
Monitor preforming processes during operations, respond promptly to alarms, diagnose problems, and take appropriate action or escalate as needed
Support facility and equipment upgrade projects, including testing, validation, and implementation activities
Assist in the development and execution of experimental designs aimed at process improvements and optimization
Maintain comprehensive documentation of all processes, including electronic and paper records, in compliance with quality system requirements
Adhere to all AS9100 quality management system requirements, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), internal policies, manufacturer specifications, and safety protocols
Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs
Qualifications You Must Have:
HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Must have proficient computer experience with MS Office
Qualifications We Prefer:
AA/AS degree or other 2-year post high school training with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Manufacturing background
Previous aerospace or chemical industry experience is preferred

What You Will Do:
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to support the research and development of Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) Material. This position is within Pratt & Whitney's CMC Center of Excellence's Laboratory as a Characterization Lab Technician.
The technician will be responsible for the execution of a variety of material characterization methods including sample preparation, data collection and documentation.
Sample Preparation: Preparation and verification of samples in accordance with standard operating procedures ensuring that they are properly sized, mounted, and marked with proper identification. Mounting specimens in epoxy, grinding and polishing as well as sputter coating.
Characterization: Configuring testing apparatus, acquiring test specimens, setting parameters. Operating microscopes (SEM, laser, confocal), collection of images, performing EDS analysis, Pycnometry. Collecting data from characterization method, processing data, preparing data per the requirements of engineering for analysis. Documenting test procedures, results, and findings in reports for engineering evaluation.
Machine & Lab Maintenance: Ensuring that machines and equipment are properly calibrated, maintained and operable. Maintaining lab supplies and general lab support.
Working safely in compliance with all environmental, health and safety requirements and identification of opportunities to reduce risk in these areas.
Assist in the development of advanced test techniques and processes using continuous improvement tools.
All other duties as assigned.
This position is 2nd shift. Hours are Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm.
Qualifications You Must Have:

What You'll Do:
As a Control & Process Engineer, you will play a key role in advancing the manufacturing maturity of Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) turbine components-materials that enable lighter, more efficient, and higher-temperature jet engine performance.
Your focus will be on developing robust control logic and ensuring process stability across chemical and thermal equipment systems. You'll design automation strategies, minimize process anomalies, and ensure smooth, repeatable operations from run to run.
Key Responsibilities
Control Logic & Automation: Design and implement Siemens PLC ladder logic and HMI programs for process and equipment control. Ensure seamless integration of process parameters, safety interlocks, and fault diagnostics.
Process Optimization: Collaborate with process and mechanical engineers to tune control loops, optimize PID settings, and improve equipment stability in chemical vapor infiltration (CVI) and related thermal processes.

Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
5+ years of experience in Controls and Process Engineering or 3+ years with an advanced degree

Structure, conduct and analyze gage capability studies
Analyze metrology results and disposition components
Report and summarize results from the metrology analysis and support internal customer understanding as required
Partner with engineering, operations, facilities and management to improve cycle time, quality, repeatability, and reproducibility and productivity for all measurements
Document standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure consistent measurement processes
Train and mentor metrology technicians
Use statistical methods including Statistical Process Control (SPC) to manage metrology processes
Identify and specify new metrology equipment. Support the installation and start-up and ongoing operation of this equipment.
Perform root cause and corrective action for measurement system issues
Establish preventive maintenance practices and related documents for metrology equipment
Qualifications You Must Have:
