Classroom Observation/Classroom Observation Request Additional Information: Show/Hide Classroom observation only. College students and alternative certification candidates only. You must include a copy of your syllabus or assignment to document your need for classroom observation. Approximately three business days after submitting the form during the observation window, you will receive a letter via email verifying your clearance through a background check. If the background check reveals a felony arrest or other information that negates the clearance to observe, the GISD investigator will contact you to discuss the information.
Once you hold the letter of verification, you are responsible for contacting the principal at each campus where you wish to observe to request permission. It will be necessary to send your letter to the principals when you contact them, and then to the office upon arrival at each campus. A map with addresses and phone numbers for each campus is available on the Garland ISD website.
