**Pay and Benefits:**
+ The salary range for this position is $ 116,000.00 - 155,000.00. As the Lead Chemical Process Quality Engineer at our West Chester, Ohio site, you will drive quality across the chemical process supply chain, including quality plan implementation. You will support suppliers through qualification processes, own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards, own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed.
This role requires up to 25% travel for audits, conferences, and problem-solving activities.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Drive Supplier Quality Assurance and Development, including supplier qualifications, action plans, and performance monitoring
* Assist key suppliers in achieving industrial standards of excellence
* Become a certified expert (Certifying Agent) in Chemical Processes such as cleaning, stripping, etching, plating, anodize, paint, and DFL
* Document technical data for assigned projects in alignment with engineering policies and procedures
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance First Time Yield and delivery performance
* Collaborate with Design and Materials Engineers to improve manufacturability and producibility
* Conduct supplier audits, identify gaps in quality systems, and drive corrective actions to closure
* Solve problems using technical expertise, analytic thinking, and collaboration across teams
* Utilize specialized knowledge within the chemical process function
* Partner with suppliers in developing high performing chemical processes
* Interpret simple internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services
* Stay informed of industry trends that may inform work
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma/GED with 4 years of experience in Engineering or as a Chemical Processing Level III)
* At least an additional 3 years of experience with Chemical and/or Metal Finishing Processes
Desired Characteristics:
* Significant Experience as Process Engineer / Process Owner over Chemical Cleaning, Chemical Etching, Chemical Stripping, Plating, Anodizing, Paint, and DFL processes
* Familiarity with Nadcap System and Audit requirements for Chemical Processing
* Advanced degree in Material Science, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering preferred
