Drive supplier relationships by working with Commercial Team, Business, NPI, and engineering team as required to lead business reviews and ensure supplier is meting needs of the GE Business
Define and improve Sourcing strategies at business or plant level. May also include management of regional & business teams.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 14 years of experience in Supply Chain, ideally Sourcing and Procurement)

Role Overview
The EMI/EMC/TEMPEST Engineer will participate in the testing of high assurance products required to comply with military and commercial specifications, including NSA TEMPEST specifications and other TEMPEST directives. Role Overview
The Electronics Commodity Manager is responsible for developing and executing the sourcing strategy for electronics categories (e.g., passive components such as capacitors, resistors, transformers, active components such as integrated circuits, semiconductors). This role manages a portfolio of Distributors and the OEMs who manufacture the product to deliver best-in-class Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost outcomes while mitigating supply risk, negotiating best in class agreements and ensuring continuity of supply across development, production, and aftermarket.
Roles and Responsibilities
Own the multi-year commodity strategy for assigned electronics categories, including supplier segmentation, footprint optimization, and dual/multi-sourcing plans.
Lead should-cost modeling, total cost of ownership analysis, and value engineering initiatives to drive sustainable cost competitiveness.
Monitor market dynamics (capacity constraints, lead times, obsolescence, trade/tariff shifts) and translate insights into proactive sourcing actions.
Manage supplier performance focusing on quality, OTD, PPV, lead time, and responsiveness; drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
Negotiate long-term agreements (LTAs), pricing, and terms to ensure supply assurance, cost control, and favorable commercial conditions.
Partner with suppliers on capacity planning, demand smoothing, and risk sharing for critical parts and long-lead components.
Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to qualify new suppliers, processes, and components; support FAI and change control.
Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory procurement requirements.
Build and maintain Actions Plans to ensure execution of key business KPIs and commodity management responsibilities.
Drive cost-out and productivity projects, including alternate qualification and standardization initiatives.
Use data-driven insights (market indices, PPV, OTD, inventory turns) to guide decisions; forecast material cost trends and risks.
Champion continuous improvement in sourcing processes, tools, and metrics.
Required Qualifications

Job Summary:
Help invent the future of flight, lift people up, and bring them home safely as a GE Aerospace intern or co-op! You'll build professional and technical skills in an aerospace systems & defense role working on challenging, real-world problems to design aerospace systems for commercial and military applications & support through service life. Build relationships with interns/coops and leaders and prepare for a potential full-time position after graduation in one of our fantastic leadership programs or a direct hire opportunity.
You will gain broad exposure to the engineering field with an array of opportunities ranging from design & analysis to working hands-on with aerospace systems. Ultimately, you'll be placed taking your preferences into account while also considering your major, year of schooling, and business needs at the time of placement.
Essential Responsibilities:
An Aerospace Systems & Defense intern/co-op may experience work in the development of engine controls, navigation, & guidance systems; gas turbine engine components; electrical power systems; mechanical systems; vehicle health & data management systems; mission systems; computing systems; and platform systems integration. Responsibilities may include design, analysis, development, and testing, writing software requirements, software testing, simulation, tool development and product/program support.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Due to the nature of our projects, US Citizenship is required.
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA off a 4.0 scale without rounding.
Attending a full time matriculated and nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program in engineering (degrees accepted: Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering).
Willingness and ability to work in the United States; primary locations are: Grand Rapids, MI; and Clearwater, FL.
Reliable transportation, many of our sites do not have public transportation available.
Eligibility Requirements:
Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen. Due to the nature of our projects, US Citizenship is required.

Pay rates for this position begin at $20/hour and increase for each undergraduate year completed. Relocation support and housing assistance is available for those who relocate to a new city.
