Test, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electrical measuring and test equipment. Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, and requirements. Performs necessary diagnostic analysis of non-conforming test equipment to determine failure root cause. May verify the capability of test equipment and other controlled processes. Support engineering groups with electrical calibration direction in accordance with used or applicable standards. Essential Functions:
Perform calibration on a wide variety of electrical inspection equipment IAW calibration procedures, ANSI Z540.1, ANSI Z540.3, ISO 10012, ISO 17025 and internal procedures.
Review work backlog daily, plan lab activities and establish priorities to meet customer needs and Calibration Lab Key Process Indicators.
Ensure that gages found with an out-of-tolerance condition are properly evaluated and documented with regards to whether or not there is any significant impact or any effected product.
Ensure measurement standards used by Metrology Lab for calibrating Measuring and Testing Equipment (M&TE), and other measurements standard, shall be traceable to NIST, or other appropriate authorities, and shall have the accuracy, stability, range and resolution required for the intended use.
Follow established L-3Harris policies, procedures, and instructions to ensure compliance and quality. Coordinate calibration of all gage types; including internal and external calibrations mechanical devices.
Preparation of written calibration procedures and instructions as needed to support calibration activities. Entering and maintaining calibration records within on-line calibration system.
Operate manual and computerized inspection equipment.
Perform routine maintenance on test and/or measuring equipment as required. Disassemble, inspect and perform minor repair of inspection equipment if required.
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with 4 years of prior related experience.
Knowledge of Electrical test procedures, Electro-Mechanical assemblies and inspection.
Four years' minimum experience in calibration and six years' minimum experience in a technical environment related to required skill sets, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Six years' minimum experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

This role will focus on the development of Cold-Spray additive manufacturing processes to support new technology and product introductions as well as legacy cost-out needs. The role is focused on leading the execution of a new or advanced manufacturing technology development initiative across GE Aerospace. This includes owning the development of the advanced manufacturing process/technology, proving the solution to be valid or technically feasible, managing funding, and program managing the multi-year development.
Seeking a manufacturing engineer with Cold-Spray process & application development experience. A qualified candidate will ideally have led the development and implementation of Cold-Spray manufacturing processes within a laboratory, scaling to a production environment. The candidate must have ability to lead and influence a new development across multiple teams to meet functional, business, and broad company objectives.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The ID&B Sr Emerging Technology Engineer will demonstrate program leadership and accountable for functional, manufacturing, and broad company objectives. In this role you will own the technology roadmap for a new technology, drive Flight Deck culture, manage complex manufacturing and development issues, and be involved in both short and long-term planning to ensure the on-time delivery of the new technology.
* Provide leadership and technical direction for a specific technology development with significant business impact using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements
* Provide manufacturing consultation and input on practices and standards, including initial development needs and cost predictions to aid in key strategic decisions.
* Lead and participate in cross-functional team meetings including design engineering, quality, materials and manufacturing with a goal of defining requirements for the new technology.
* Work collaboratively with Design and Systems Engineering teams, GRC, production and global sites to formulate technical solutions and strategies that align with long term business objectives.
* Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers
* Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews, while communicating with the customer or program manager to assure a robust technology will be able to be delivered.
* Remain current in the state of the art within own technical specialty for new products introduction activity, performance improvements, cost reductions and problem resolutions
* Serve as a recognized leader in defining the state of the art in own technical specialty to anticipate, develop and apply technology to current and future business opportunities
* Partner with Design Boards, Manufacturing pyramids and TRL owners to industrialize design and technologies
* Develop strategies and standard work for the implementation of new technologies and processes related to manufacturing of parts.
* Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
* Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and a FLIGHT DECK mentality within the manufacturing organization.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited College or University
* Minimum of 5 years of relevant Manufacturing and / or Engineering experience (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in Manufacturing and / or Engineering experience experience)

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
* Master's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
* Previous Cold-Spray process or application development experience
* Previous experience implementing Cold-Spray processes within an aerospace manufacturing setting
* Previous development hardware ownership
* Previous technology development experience
* Experience with manufacturing specifications
* Experience with machine bid/buy specifications
* Working experience with GE Aerospace quality system
* Ability to guide and lead others not in a direct reporting relationship
* Ability to execute with new and unclear requirements & goals
* Ability to work in a matrix organization
* Ability to effectively manage changing and conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately
* Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions
