Harris Ranch Beef company history timeline
In 1937, their only son, Jack, and his wife Teresa, began what is now known as Harris Ranch, starting with a previously unfarmed 320 acres of desert land on the Valley’s Western edge.
Founded in 1937, the family-owned agribusiness also has a thriving farming operation that produces more than 30 crops, from lettuce and garlic to pistachios and wine grapes; breeds thoroughbred horses; and runs a popular inn and restaurant, according to the company website.
As the processing and marketing arm of our beef division, Harris Ranch Beef Company is proud to have established one of the first branded beef programs in the country in 1982.
