Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials and labor estimates
Access cost effectiveness of products or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as project develops
Consult with clients, vendors, project managers, owners, architects and/or engineers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
Confer with engineers, architects and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to estimates
Prepare estimates used by management for planning, organizing and scheduling work
Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors and subcontractors
Analyzing different quotes from Sub-contractors and suppliers
Award contracts based on not only cost, but quality of work
Skills & Experience:
At least 5 years of experience as an Estimator for a Commercial General Contractor is required
Must be able to work in an open office environment
Experience with On-Screen or other take-off software is required
Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial information
Experience with Quantity Survey Method is preferred
Experience with sub solicitation is preferred
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to initiate and drive process improvements
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within tight deadlines

The Field Engineer is responsible to help facilitate project delivery and administrative requirements related to planning, management and communication through effective day-to-day administration and coordination of projects. Works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other project team members, including clients, in support of the success of a project. Nature of Work
The Preconstruction Manager plans, coordinates and supervises estimating functions for projects within assigned geographic or vertical markets. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate service execution, and managing risks associated with project pursuits.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
* Properly manage estimating team on projects to ensure timely delivery while implementing quality control measures to ensure accuracy.
* Oversee preconstruction efforts on managed projects; directs the efforts of the design team on design-build projects.
* Responsible for training and development of direct reports.

Support development of cash flow projections, if required.
Develop and implement program to provide robust data analytics and reporting to project teams and clients, including use of cost-loaded and resource-loaded schedules provided by contractors.
Support development of the project control and project execution plans for individual projects and programs.
Supervise (and perform when necessary) the schedule control efforts of the project/program to include guidance and oversight of the schedule management system, preparation of schedule report templates, and issue of monthly Schedule and Change Management report deliverables. Validate and report on schedule performance against the baseline schedule, highlight bottlenecks / delays and propose corrective actions.
Identify schedule improvement strategies to reduce time and support completion of projects and programs on time.
Establish and ensure adherence to a standard HPM Work Breakdown Structure to facilitate consistent data capture for use in reporting and analytics.
Serve as subject matter expert for scheduling softwares and tools used by Project Controls and Project Teams to analyze schedules, identify risks and develop mitigation plans (e.g. SmartPM, Sitetraxx, P6, Microsoft Project, PowerBI, Office Timeline).
Provide forensic analysis for claims defense or mitigation.
Ability to review schedule for progress, warning signs, identify critical path, and alignment between cost and schedule.
Support review and validation of contractor pay requests from progress standpoint.
Support review and validation of contractor change requests when time impacts are a component.

The Mechanical Estimator must be capable of performing conceptual budgeting (based on little information) as well as detailed estimates for a wide range of projects and system types. The Assistant Superintendent is responsible to support the Superintendent or Senior Superintendent in one or more operational areas of a construction project. This position may support the coordination and scheduling of multiple construction crews, helps to determine construction requirements, plans procedures, and ensures subcontract work meets required specifications. The position will also participate in the inspection of work and equipment to verify safety and ensure project operations specifications are met. In this role you may be required to travel up to 100% of the time.
Responsibilities:
Assist Superintendents with monitoring of the project schedule and budget and work with superintendents to maintain and update. Coordinate with the subcontractor's office for recovery plans where necessary, meet regularly with staff and subcontracts to discuss progress, obstacles, challenges and assist in removing barriers to completing work.
Assist in coordinating daily operational objectives, timelines, and goals.
Coordinate inspections and participate in the examination and inspection of work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.
Read construction documents to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
Record and maintain information and produce reports such as personnel, production, project logs, status and other operational data. Assist in making decisions regarding start up/shut down issues on assigned projects and instruct crew members accordingly.
Conduct periodic job site safety inspections and audits. All field position are ultimately responsible for all actions occurring on job site and ensuring safe working conditions for all.
Ensure that all assigned projects are built in the highest quality, according to plans and specs provided.
Represent Hoar in job site progress meetings or any other meetings as requested or needed.
Act as jobsite superintendent in absence of normal jobsite superintendent.
Create and maintain good working relationships with customers and suppliers to keep smooth flow of operations. Communicate clearly and consistently with all parties involved regarding deliveries, and general job progress, etc.
Assist in coordination and management of all workforce needed to complete assigned projects.
Clearly communicate goals and expectations to crew members, including but not limited to, allotted work hours, amount of work to be completed, schedule, etc.
Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
2-5 years of experience in construction or college construction graduate
General knowledge of scheduling, cost control and safety procedures
General Computer skills (MS Office)
Valid Driver's License Required
