Bartlett Cocke General Contractors is currently seeking Lead Estimators to join our team in San Antonio, TX! The Lead Estimator will be responsible for providing and/or coordinating estimating services on projects of all sizes and contracts of all types.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Coordinate, supervise and review work of assigned department personnel to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Provide technical support and/or prepare estimates as required.
Participate in the preparation of studies, materials, and methods, recommendations, and relative cost estimates as required.
Act as an Estimating Team Leader on various projects, thus coordinating the total estimating effort relevant to a particular project or proposals as assigned.
Lead estimates at all phases/levels as required by project and delivery method with relative accuracy: Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documents, etc.
Communicate the Estimate to client, design team member, or internal audience.
Review proposal specifications, drawings; attend pre-proposal meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimates.
Prepare estimates by quantity survey of the anticipated scope.
Participate in pre-proposal meetings, bid/estimate strategy and presentation meetings as required.
Coordinate with Marketing personnel regarding technical aspects/requirements of assigned estimates.
Assist Project Team (PM and Supt.) in evaluating submitted proposals during project buyout and contracting phase.
Prepare for, and participate in, project “Handoff” meetings from Estimating to Operations.
Train and develop department personnel.
Perform additional duties per supervisor's direction.
Minimum Requirements:
At least 5 years of commercial estimating experience.
A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Experience using the following or similar software: OnCenter, Cost OS, Building Connected, Bluebeam Revu/Studio, and other industry related software.
Candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative approach working with both clients, design team members and subcontractors.
Must be competent in use of Microsoft software, including collecting and analyzing data in Excel, and creating documents and preparing correspondence in Outlook & Word.
Preferred Requirements:
Knowledge of the subcontractor market.
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science, Engineering, Architecture, or any applicable degree program.
Experience working in the field on Construction projects (project management or field supervision experience).
Experience using BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, Assemble, etc.)

Title: Lead Estimator
Position Overview:
Staff position at our office in Rosharon Tx. Work under the direction of an estimating manager to generate complete proposals from receipt of RFQ to proposal submittal.
Position Responsibilities:
Preparation of proposals including cost, technical, and commercial responses.
Generate technical submittals required by client.
Complete accurate manual takeoffs of civil, concrete, piping, equipment, & steel.
Correctly interpret specifications for material and labor pricing purposes.
Apply Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) elements to estimate as required by client and as necessary for future use once awarded.
Contact subcontractors, suppliers, and specialty services for quotes.
Attend pre-bid meetings in client facilities.
Assist in schedule preparation and analysis, execution plan development, and risk analysis.
Qualifications:
BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or other equivalent discipline.
A minimum of 3+ years relevant estimating experience.
General knowledge of civil, structural, and/or piping craft scopes of work.
Skilled in piping material and labor quantity takeoff.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.

ABOUT THE JOB:
The Production Manager is responsible for the safety of the employees in their department, producing products that meet or exceed the company's quality standards and customer expectations while meeting delivery commitment dates for customers at the best possible cost. The production manager is an effective communicator and understands the products being produced and employs the means to deliver upon key performance indicators.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSABILITIES:

* Ensures product quality through audits and in process quality checks
* Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicates to his team status of those KPIs through effective production board use and daily team huddles

* Proficient in SAP transactions and ensures transaction discipline by getting today's work done today
* Monitors all back orders and provides updates to changes to agree upon commitments to customers
* Recommends suitable material substitutions when needed
* Reviews BOMs for accuracy and provides corrective feedback to Engineering
* Utilize lean tools to improve safety, quality, delivery, and lower department production costs
* Recommends capital improvements to the plant manager as part of the annual Capex process

* Collaborates with the Plant Manager(s) to ensure results align with the overall site operational strategy

About the Role:

Qualifications
Education:
Associate's Degree

Experience:

Deliver the pre-qualification status to the communities and call with verbal status as required.
Travel to communities to meet with borrowers and obtain loan applications.
Package loans for upfront submission.
Lock all loans with the borrowers in accordance with the Secondary Marketing Pricing and Rate Lock Policies and Procedures manual.
Compile any missing data on the loan application, i.e., lot number, address, plan type, incentive, delivery time, etc.
Maintain reports to ensure complete exchange of information regarding loan status, monthly projected closings, commission, and expense reports.
Conduct weekly “Pipeline” meetings with processor(s) and keep the lines of communication open.
Requirements
Three years mortgage lending experience: originating, processing, closing and underwriting FHA/VA/Conventional loans
At least one year in a full-charge supervisory/management capacity

Job Summary
The "Production Manager" will be based onsite in Dallas, TX reporting to Director of Operations
Guides and coordinates activities of employees engaged in the following areas of manufacturing department; multi-level assembly, electronic card/system testing and quality assurance to attain production goals consistent with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
What a typical day looks like:
* Guides department activities to hold up design of new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and helps on test procedures.
* Explores technology trends and market demand to plan projects.
* Contributes with management, production, and marketing staff to resolve manufacturing feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
* Forecasts operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests.
* Partners with team and management in the development of the strategic plan and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the function.
* Reviews and establishes material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements.
* Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply in order to meet customer requirements.
* Coordinates production activities with other functional groups such as planning and distribution.
* Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.
* Accountable for controlling manufacturing operation and ensuring that production quality and cost targets are met.
* Working in extremely complex problems where the research of situations or data from an evaluation of intangible factors.
* Reviews budgets and schedules required by management.
* Regulate relations with the executives and/or major customers to maintain relationships with them.
* Resolve controversial situations, customer negotiations, or influencing and persuading management levels for the achievements of the plant.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
* Bilingual (English / Spanish)
* Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in addition to 5 years of operations experience.
* Experience on leading multiple shifts
* Driving lean initiative as TPM and SUR
* Proven record of escalating responsibilities in fabrication operations.
* Experience in managing powder line with multiple colors
* Managed AMADA equipment ( Laser, EMK, PEGA ) and press brakes
* Experience in using DMM system in fabrication
* Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.
* Demonstrates advanced people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
* Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.
* Demonstrates expert functional, technical, and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
* Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business.
