Under limited supervision, the mechanic performs work of moderate difficulty in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment. The mechanic is responsible for the assembly and mechanical function of machines. The mechanic will inspect machines, engines, transmission, etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues. The mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and reliability of machines, engines, and mechanical systems.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspect machines, engines, transmissions, etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues.
Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability.
Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.
Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components.
Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery.
Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machines or vehicle users.
Observe equipment in operation to detect potential problems.
Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear.
Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, painting, etc.)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
18 years or older
Education: High School Diploma, GED and/or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of one year of mechanic experience preferred.

Specific Responsibilities Mechanic II performs a variety of duties that may require a degree of skill and ability in the repair, modification and maintenance of machinery and related mechanical equipment. He/she may assist senior level mechanics in dismantling and assembling equipment/machines; repairing and replacing parts.
* Responsible for Daily Operation and Maintenance of compressors, glycol dehydration unit, B-Tex unit, incinerator, slop tanks, sumps, transfer pumps, "control air" air compressors and all equipment associated with compressor facility.
* Perform Daily checks, but not limited too;
* Glycol PH and adjust accordingly.
* Glycol pumps flow rate and pressures.
* Temperatures on compressor valves, pressure readings and flow rates.
* Check for proper operation of all sumps and dump valves.
* Check all fluid levels and operation of lubricators.
* Check air compressors, filters, oil levels, belts, pressures and bleed lines.
* Check for leaks, loose bolts, vibration or unusual noises by making visual inspection at least three times per day on all equipment.
* Accurately record all above information and any performed maintenance.
* Become certified on CO2 line, DIG TESS, location, Right of Way, signage, valve operation etc.
* Attend all DIG TESS notifications, reply accordingly and record.
* Perform oil changes on all equipment in a timely manor and record.
* Make notifications when problems are suspected.
* Order, stock and label spare equipment needed to keep facility in operation, in an orderly fashion.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Unit disassembly, cleaning, and inspection including the accurate collection and recording of technical inspection data for equipment repair proposals.
Maintain, diagnose, and repair all types of rotating equipment.
Complete required maintenance to return equipment back to customer operating condition, per OEM specifications.
Prepare and complete service documentation.
Maintaining clear and concise daily work records. Use of basic problem-solving skills in terms of gathering facts, analyzing the cause, and selecting the best most accurate solution.
Maintenance of shop equipment and regular daily shop housekeeping to ensure an organized and safe working environment.
Responsible for understanding and complying with the safety policy, procedures, and instructions.
Disassemble complex rotating equipment and provide written observations of failure modes and condition of “as received” parts.
Assist in cleaning and prepping parts for NDT and PMI examination.
Perform and document detailed dimensional and runout inspection of all components.
Provide written inspection report, to include recommended repairs, and replacement parts needed.
Provide written instructions and drawings to other crafts involved in manufacture or repair of components.
Perform quality checks on customer furnished, manufactured, and repaired components prior to final assembly.
Clean and prep parts for final assembly.

Document all final sizes, clearances, and documentation to provide customer with a final repair report.
Complete “as received” photo documentation and visual inspection of assemblies and customer furnished spare parts.

Knowledge and/or Skill Requirements:
NCCER Millwright certification helpful.
Must be a team player and be willing to train junior Mechanics.
This position requires good attendance and punctuality.
Communicate with supervision, crafts, and customers during the inspection and repair process.
Good organization skills.
Knowledge and use of all types of measuring devices ad rotating equipment.

Responsibilities
* Heavy Equipment Maintenance: Performs all necessary preventative maintenance on heavy equipment according to established guidelines and time frames. Keeps accurate and detailed records of failures and repairs in Computerized Maintenance Management System. Identifies and orders parts necessary to complete repairs and routine maintenance. Performs complex repairs on equipment. Replaces parts and equipment as necessary. Assists lower level Mechanics in completing work assignments as necessary.

Lewis Energy Group is looking for a highly motivated Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our Service Center team. The Heavy Truck Mechanic will perform preventative maintenance and routine mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on company assets to include all DOT equipment.
Responsibilities
* Heavy Duty Maintenance: Performs preventative maintenance on all DOT equipment according to established guidelines and time frames. Keeps accurate and detailed records of failures and repairs in Computerized Maintenance Management System. Acts as an assistant to more senior Mechanics on larger jobs.
* Troubleshooting: Troubleshoots and diagnoses routine problems or recurring malfunctions of company assets and chooses course of action. Consults with supervisor to ensure accuracy of diagnosis and approval for work. Completes troubleshooting repairs and/or modifications work on equipment.
* Tool Maintenance: Performs daily inspections of tools and equipment used. Ensures cleanliness of hand tools, equipment and parts.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum five years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Performs acceptance, conditional, daily, phase, pre D-Level, post D-Level, special, transfer, turnaround and zonal aircraft inspections and preoperational and periodic inspections on SE IAW Maintenance Requirements Cards (MRC) and NAVAIR technical manuals.
Pre/Post-Op checks, fueling and operation of SE, tools, Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) and Naval Aviation Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) assigned to the Power Line work center, to include conditional/scheduled inspections and periodic maintenance.
Performs all duties in accordance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) and Commander Naval Air Forces Instruction 4790.2B.
