* Participate in Community Table meetings and assist in planning activities to connect families with young children to early childhood services.
* Conduct outreach in community neighborhoods, locations and events to reach families where they are (i.e. community events, parks, Community Cafe, etc.)
* Collaborate on strategies to bring family voices into all aspects of the LGP.
* Participate in required Office of Early Childhood (OEC) trainings and convenings including, but not limited to: Onboarding trainings, Quarterly statewide Community of Practice (CoP) meetings with Parent Ambassadors and OEC Parent Cabinet members, Professional development, and In-Person parent leadership opportunities.
* Participate in bi-monthly, in-person meetings with LGP Liaison.
* Monthly communication with the OEC Parent Cabinet representative for this region.
* Support communications monitoring including website and social media.
* Tracking data for weekly/monthly/quarterly reports.
Qualifications:
* A parent or caregiver who has utilized early childhood programs and services in the West Hartford community.

Job Description:
This is skilled work at the journeyman level in HVAC. Work involves responsibility for the performance of assignments requiring the use of HVAC skills in the maintenance and operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems for school buildings and related facilities. Assignments designated in form requests for services from various schools and/or in form of blueprints and specifications. Occasional supervision required for one or more helpers. Work is subject to review for inspection upon completion, although normal repairs are completed independently without supervision or close review. Work performed in various settings subject to some interruptions and background noise. Work performed with independence and initiative, referring unusual problems to the Manager of Maintenance Services or designee. Performs varied and responsible functions requiring judgment to ensure compliance with applicable departmental and BOE/town policies, procedures and methods. Manages and coordinates multiple priorities adhering to established periods. Has frequent contact with employees, other BOE/town departments, and vendors. Possible exposure to smells and sounds associated with sewer and water systems and use of power tools and construction sites.
Requirements:
Graduation from a standard high school or trade school with three (3) years' experience as a journeyman HVAC mechanic or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Possession of S-2 Unlimited Journeyperson license for HVAC work.
Possession of a valid and job-related Connecticut drivers' license.
Must have successful completion of pre-employment physical examination, drug test and criminal background check.
Possession of S-1 Unlimited Contractor license for HVAC work and refrigerant handling certification (EPA Technician Certification 08 - Universal), highly preferred.
Qualifications:
Considerable knowledge of the tools, materials, methods, terminology and best practices of the HVAC trade.
Considerable knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.

Salary in accordance with Hartford Federation of School Secretaries. 2014-2015 Salary Grid (095-12): ($34,528-$46,322 = Full-time Equivalency). Twelve month work year. Position ends June 30, 2016.
