HARTING company history timeline
HARTING was founded in 1945 by Wilhelm and Marie Harting.The company has remained 100% family owned and managed.
After the death of Wilhelm Harting in 1962, Marie Harting continued to lead the company successfully and purposefully.
In 1986, HARTING decided to cross the Atlantic and opened HARTING Americas right in the United States heartland, less than 50 miles outside of Chicago.
In 1987, Margrit Harting joined the family business of her husband Dietmar Harting, serving today as a general partner.

In 2019, HARTING and others identified that there needed to be a specific global group dedicated to the advancement of Single Pair Ethernet.
In the 2020/21 business year, some 6,200 employees generated sales of EUR 869 million.
All regions in which Harting is active worldwide developed positively in the 2020/21 financial year - most of them even with significant growth.
