Essential Duties - other duties may be assigned * Analyzes new orders to determine requirements for and current availability of material castings, forgings, extrusions, and other material, Understanding MRP is essential. * Quotes lead time for the shipment of orders based on availability of parts and material and revises shipment dates to considering lead time required from suppliers. * Responds to requests for expediting the shipment of orders by locating and expediting required materials through the manufacturing processes or by coordinating the procurement of material from vendors. * Controls the allocation of incoming parts and material to ensure best accommodating of delivery schedules. * Works within assigned Business Unit and operations personnel to communicate status of the material process and resolve critical delivery requirements and resolve production scheduling Education and/or Experience Required * To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government. * Four or more years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment * Must have knowledge of MRP systems, production processes, outside processing and general procurement functions. * Must be able to work with others in resolving conflicting priorities. Excellent verbal and written communications skills * Knowledge of Avante ERP system and/or LN Aerospace a plus * APICS courses highly desirable Other Skills and Abilities * Ability to monitor supply flow and identify shortages or bottlenecks of shortages that might arise * Develop weekly / Monthly shipment schedules * Ability to recover schedule/revenue with future planned orders. * Prepare status and performance reports to help resolve any production issues.
