ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Clinical Research Management System (CTMS) Operations
* Analyzes, evaluates and maintains clinical research protocols, budgets and contract amendments within the CTMS.
* Interprets clinical research protocols, defining the CTMS payments configuration and business processes that support study team workflows, which includes calendar building, and budget entry.

* Maintains clinical research check detail posting from bursar feed to clinical research internal site.
* Performs analysis and reconciliation of assigned accounts receivable information for all relevant UMMS finance departments/divisions.
* Analyzes, assesses and resolves any account balance discrepancies between sponsors and UMMS.
* Reviews, verifies, and processes all submitted clinical research account closure requests.
Education & Reporting
* Manages assigned tasks via the TRACs intake portal, interpreting requests, ensuring timely completion and accurate tracking
* Maintains internal reporting systems, providing metrics to senior management ensuring that metrics are captured in an accurate and timely manner.
* Develops and maintains assigned curriculum, training materials, job aids, SOPs, and policies
* Delivers relevant training and orientation to clinical research staff/faculty.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
* Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a clinical research environment within a healthcare or academic organization.
* Working knowledge and understanding of federal, state regulation and guidance related to clinical research, specifically federal clinical research billing requirements.
* Strong analytical, computer and software skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* OnCore & EPIC experience strongly preferred.

About the Opportunity
The Research Computing (RC) team at Northeastern University (NU) seeks a motivated, self-starting individual to be a member of our dynamic team as a Computational Scientist. The successful candidate will be a key link between the RC team and the research community at NU, including faculty and students across a broad range of departments, as well as outside users and partners, to help them leverage RC resources for their research and teaching.
As a Computational Scientist at NU, your primary objective will be to support and enhance the research enterprise through direct interaction with faculty and students. You will assist research groups in taking full advantage of Discovery, NU's high performance computing (HPC) cluster installed at the Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC). You will help with optimization of code and utilization of scheduler features to maximize throughput of jobs. In addition, you will work with research groups to help identify, implement, and improve their computational workflow, as well as assist in facilitating scientific computing solutions specific to NU researchers. As a PhD level scientist, you will also participate in grant funding opportunities, author research papers and presentations, with NU's faculty members, carry out independent research at RC, and supervise student staff as needed.

Proven experience coding in C/C++, Fortran, and/or Python

Data Integrity Coordinator
This position involves researching and analyzing gifts to ensure appropriate donor credit and proper fund designation, as well as identifying discrepancies and adjusting records as deemed necessary. This position generates tax receipts daily and annually, in accordance with applicable regulations. The DI Coordinator is also responsible for reconciling gifts recorded in the CRM with deposits in coordination with the Cashier's office, updating donor records based on supporting gift documentation and transforming data received through data loads from various on campus.
In addition, this position is also responsible for preparing pledges and recurring gifts for data integration, producing, and reviewing gift receipts, communicating with university departments, such as payroll, annual giving and other third-party vendor services, and maintaining data on constituent contact preferences, alumni activities, foreign gifts, and various other data points to ensure successful engagement, participation and fundraising outcomes.
Essential Functions
Gift Accounting
* Provide timely and accurate gift processing. Handle complex donations including stocks, wire transfers, planned gifts, Donor Advised Fund gifts, matching gifts and other transaction types as needed.
* Maintain comprehensive electronic gift back up in an organized and accessible manner.
* Scan checks to deposit directly to the bank; prepare cash and foreign check deposits for the bank and process related batches, produce and send gift receipts.
* Complete integrity projects as assigned (correcting recognition credits, standardizing attribute fields, pledge application/adjustments, updating appeal codes).
Records and Database Management
* Maintain biographical information, research various sources to ensure the accuracy of data and similar projects as assigned. Ensure biographical information for donors is complete and accurate.
* Ensure data integrity through monitoring, implementation and streamlining of effective procedures; assist in identifying and troubleshooting data integration issues.
* Assist in identifying data discrepancies and complete data integrity projects by transforming and enhancing data (correcting or removing unneeded information, standardizing fields such as salutations or street names, renaming, moving, and combining columns to ensure usability).
* Participate in special short-term or long-term database projects as necessary.
Advancement and Donor Relations Services
* Contact donors as needed regarding gift related errors, including declined credit cards, incomplete checks and unspecified designations.

* Completes appropriate, detailed, analytical review of budget amendments, study subject data entry and visit information in order to facilitate accurate billing/invoicing.
* Ensures timely completion of CTMS information in all tracking systems
Clinical Research Revenue Recovery
* Using the CTMS, generates invoices to external sponsors, working with study team members to proactively analyze and resolve any questions or conflicts.
* Acts as the primary point of contact for external sponsors on all clinical research invoices.
* Maintains clinical research check detail posting from bursar feed to clinical research internal site.
* Performs analysis and reconciliation of assigned accounts receivable information for all relevant UMMS finance departments/divisions.
* Analyzes, assesses and resolves any account balance discrepancies between sponsors and UMMS.
* Reviews, verifies, and processes all submitted clinical research account closure requests.
Education & Reporting
* Manages assigned tasks via the TRACs intake portal, interpreting requests, ensuring timely completion and accurate tracking
* Maintains internal reporting systems, providing metrics to senior management ensuring that metrics are captured in an accurate and timely manner.
* Develops and maintains assigned curriculum, training materials, job aids, SOPs, and policies
* Delivers relevant training and orientation to clinical research staff/faculty.
* Develops and maintains division web pages/web page content.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
* Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a clinical research environment within a healthcare or academic organization.
* Working knowledge and understanding of federal, state regulation and guidance related to clinical research, specifically federal clinical research billing requirements.
* Strong analytical, computer and software skills.
Additional Information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* OnCore & EPIC experience strongly preferred.
* Certification in clinical research (CIP, SOCRA, ACRP or equivalent)
* OnCore Financial and Management Certifications preferred.
* This is a hybrid work model with the understanding that the Analystwill be available and onsite as required to support the department
