The Director of Non-Discrimination Initiatives oversees the College's compliance efforts with Title IX, Title VI, Title VIIand the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) section 504 , NCAA membership compliance, other College policies, andrelated state and federal laws. This includes leading and/or coordinating investigations; developing, implementing, andmonitoring programs and training that foster a culture of prevention and reporting around civil rights matters. Thisposition has a dual reporting line to the Vice President for Campus Life and Community Engagement and the Directorof Human Resources.
Actual salaries will vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to degrees attained, experience, and other considerations permitted by law. Comprehensive compensation details, including any additional benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage all reports of potential Title IX investigations and cases involving students, faculty and/or staff, ensuring the process is timely, accurate, thorough and impartial.
* Conduct Title VI and Title VII investigations into allegations of discrimination, retaliation, and harassment involving students, faculty and/or staff. Co-chair the College's Bias Incident Report Team.
* Manage a team of internal investigators including recruitment, training, ongoing education, and case oversight.
* Oversee the contracts with external investigators.
* Meet regularly with active investigators to ensure appropriate evidentiary collection and comprehensive investigative responses to claims of sexual violence, discrimination, and harassment.
* Work with the Compliance Officer in the Athletics Department to ensure compliance with NCAA guidelines, policies, and regulations.
* Develop, maintain, and sustain partnerships and MOUs with community agencies, including overseeing their presence on campus.
* Serve as the ADA/Section 504 Coordinator; handle grievances relating to accommodations process or disability discrimination/harassment. Work with the Director of the Accessibility Services and Director of Human Resources to ensure compliance with the ADA/Section 504.
* Design, lead and coordinate training for students, staff, and faculty on all issues of discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct.
* Responsible for federal and state reports, including but not limited to the annual report to the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education. Work with the Chief of Police and Director of Community Standards on the annual Clery report and other related matters.
* Develop and implement annual climate surveys; work with Institutional Research on report writing and its proper dissemination. Utilize findings to enhance the College's effectiveness and compliance.
* Stay abreast of changes to federal and state guidelines and requirements and update policies and protocols as necessary; ensure webpages are up to date.
* Maintain confidential record keeping including all intake documentation for access issues and reported sexual violence utilizing the Maxient system, climate survey results and data, and intake documentation in accordance with the law and College policies.
* Recruit and train student workers and Graduate Associate (s).
* Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role or additional tasks
Qualifications
* Master's Degree Required
* Doctoral/Advanced Degree preferred
* Minimum of 4 years experience of significant Title IX, Title VI, Title VII, ADA/Section 504, dispute resolution, or related experience required.
* Supervisory experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Comprehensive knowledge of current state and federal law and regulations-as well as identified best practices and trends in the field of education-related to discrimination, harassment, disabilities, and sexual misconduct on college campuses.
* Familiarity with conducting investigations related to Title IX, discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct involving students and/or employees.
* Understanding of the recent developments regarding sexual misconduct and Title IX laws impacting campuses across the country and in Massachusetts specifically.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to collaborate with a wide range of constituents

Fitchburg State University is seeking a dynamic and motivated coach to lead the development and launch of its Women's Ice Hockey program. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Serve as head coach of women's ice hockey and assist with the management of athletic department student employees.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Assigned assistant coaches, student employees and intercollegiate team members.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Head Women's Ice Hockey Coach:
* Organize and direct the day-to-day operations of the women's ice hockey team, including teaching skills and strategies for the specific sport during practices and games in the traditional and non-traditional seasons.
* Develop and manage a recruiting plan that meets new student enrollment goals. Correspond with high school coaches, club coaches, contact prospective student-athletes, evaluate talent and meet with prospective students as available. Maintain statistics on contacts and evaluations.
* Develop knowledge of and abide by current NCAA, MASCAC, or other affiliated conferences, rules and regulations regarding recruiting, eligibility and sport-specific rules concerning practice and playing seasons.
* Maintain knowledge of current sport game rules and changes to those rules as they occur.
* Attend all contests. Travel with the team to all away contests or assign a member of staff to travel with the team. Drive team vehicles to away contests as required.
* Hire, supervise and evaluate assistant coaches.
* Submit proposed practice schedule to Head Athletic Trainer and communicate any requests for schedule changes.
* Ensure minimum roster size is met and prepare a list of prospective participants for the Compliance Officer for eligibility review. Review eligibility rules with all participants.
* Conduct fundraising projects as desired in compliance with all regulations of the department and the Booster Club.
* Review transportation and meal arrangements prior to season and request changes to Assistant Athletic Director both prior to and during season.
* Secure meal money and forms before away contests. Return all meal forms and unused money to the Athletic Office as soon as possible or prior to the next trip.
* Review score-reporting procedure with the SID and report all game results as requested immediately following the contest.
* Complete and submit officials' rating cards/forms as required by officials assigning bureau.
* File a report, within 24 hours, to the Director of Athletics in regard to any infraction of institutional, Departmental or governing bodies rules, which result in disciplinary action, i.e. ejection from contests, unsportsmanlike behavior, etc.
* Confer with the Athletic Trainers regarding the status of injured athletes.
* Assume supervisory control over all phases of team's participation. Create a safe and positive environment for student-athletes. Emphasize and enforce the student-athlete code of conduct and any team rules in a firm and equitable manner. Conduct oneself in an ethical manner during practices and contests and demand appropriate behavior from all team personnel.
* Submit recommendations to the Director of Athletics regarding schedule, facilities, support staff, budget, transportation and equipment.
* Complete all required departmental, conference and NCAA paperwork in a timely fashion as requested.
* Participate in all Admissions Open House and other recruiting events.
* Attend all department meetings and functions as requested. Support all department programs as available.
* Other duties as assigned.
Athletic Department Student Employment Manager:
* Recruit & hire all student employees for the department, including game, office, equipment/laundry, team managers, athletic training and other student support staff.
* Conduct training and onboarding throughout the year for student staff.
* Submit payroll for student staff in compliance with university regulations.
* Staff and schedule all student employees for all home games and in coordination with area supervisors.
* Occasional game management oversight.
* Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Three to five years of intercollegiate head or assistant coaching experience in ice hockey, preferably women's ice hockey.
* Collegiate coaching experience at a state university and NCAA Division III preferred.
* Ability to organize, administer and supervise programs and services within a collegiate athletic department.
* Ability to effectively relate to students, faculty, staff and the general public.
* Weekend and evening hours will be required.

Reporting to the Upward Bound Math and Science Director, the Education Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, assessing, and supervising academic components of the Upward Bound Math & Science Programs. Responsibilities will include program liaison between the Upward Bound Math and Science (UBMS) program, the target school staff and community education programs. This includes overseeing academic programming for academic year workshops and the residential segment of the six-week summer academy. The Educational Coordinator also holds oversight responsibility for UBMS Residential Counselors and all academic support programs, including supervision of the Summer Instructor and Project-Based Learning facilitator.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serve as liaison between the UBMS program and area target schools (Fitchburg and Leominster High Schools) staff.
2. Coordinate school, university staff and volunteer tutors for participants.
3. Plan and implement academic success workshops and other related educational activities.
4. Advocate for students in college preparation, searches, applications and the financial aid process.
5. Conduct advisement and counseling activities.
6. Assist in program formative and summative evaluations 4 times a year.
7. Keep and maintain appropriate program and student records.
8. Identify, screen, and select eligible disadvantaged participants in need of academic support in order to successfully pursue a post-secondary program.
9. Diagnose academic needs of each program participant and develop a college education plan (CEP) for each participant.
10. Supervise the administration of standardized academic assessments to program participants.
11. Monitor the 62 program participants' academic progress throughout the year.
12. Meet with participants a minimum 4 times a year to assess their progress. Revise participants' College Education Plans as goals are met or are altered.

14. Plan, implement and supervise the school year program (25 Weekly Academic Sessions and additional educational activities.)
15. Facilitate academic year instructor/tutor meetings with participants and their parent/guardians.
16. Schedule participants in appropriate courses for the six week residential summer session (working with the target schools guidance counselors.)
17. Plan, implement, monitor and evaluate the summer academic program including: tutor/instructor/student orientation, tutor sessions and weekly staff meetings.
18. Work with parent/guardians in meeting their child's goals for post-secondary programming.
19. Ensures compliance with university and federal regulations.
20. Attend professional development and required training as assigned by Director of Upward Bound Math and Science.
21. Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Upward Bound Math and Science.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in mathematics science, education, or related field completed by January 1, 2026.
* Minimum of one to three years experience in education, counseling or a related program.
* Excellent communication/organizational skills, bilingual ability preferred, program development, and strong interpersonal skills are helpful.
* Experience with disadvantaged populations or similar programs (i.e. TRIO).
* Knowledge of the college admissions process; financial aid opportunities and high school graduation requirements.

The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Merrimack College is a collegial department that examines the causes, patterns, and control of crime and criminal behavior in individuals, groups, organizations, cultures, and societies. We offer a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Criminology and Criminal Justice. The successful candidate will teach the required courses, Introduction to Criminology and the Criminal Justice System, and undergraduate and graduate elective courses in forensic criminal investigations, policing, and ethics in criminal justice. Other areas of specialization are open, but we are especially interested in candidates whose teaching expertise includes domestic violence, victimology, and women in law enforcement.

The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Merrimack College invites applications for a full-time, non tenure track faculty position, open-ended term Assistant Professor of Practice position to begin in the spring of 2026 or fall of 2026. The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Merrimack College is a collegial department that examines the causes, patterns, and control of crime and criminal behavior in individuals, groups, organizations, cultures, and societies. We offer a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Criminology and Criminal Justice. The successful candidate will teach the required courses, Introduction to Criminology and the Criminal Justice System, and undergraduate and graduate elective courses in forensic criminal investigations, policing, and ethics in criminal justice. Other areas of specialization are open, but we are especially interested in candidates whose teaching expertise includes domestic violence, victimology, and women in law enforcement.
Position Qualifications:
Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice, or related field, at the time of appointment
Experience teaching at the college level in both undergraduate and graduate programs
Commitment to interdisciplinary teaching, collaboration, and supporting students in a growing criminology and criminal justice program
Professional experience in the criminal and juvenile justice fields will also be considered

Compensation:

About the Opportunity
Under the guidance of the Chair, the Administrative Officer provides administrative support for the operation of the English Department. This includes supporting the Chair in managing multiple budgets, in addition to helping manage the budget of faculty members with external grants; scheduling courses; managing the office; maintaining all personnel files; and coordinating materials for merit, tenure and other faculty reviews. They coordinate all departmental reporting requirements; identify, gather, and analyze data for departmental initiatives, and produce reports and budget requests. The Administrative Officer serves as the first contact for new departmental hires and coordinates faculty searches, visitors, and hiring of part time employees.
The Administrative Officer also supports the Writing Program. This includes supporting the program director in managing the budget; scheduling courses; and identifying, gathering and analyzing data for program initiatives, reports and budget requests.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in related field required, Master's preferred, with five or more years of progressively responsible administrative support experience in a fast-paced and service-oriented environment or relative combination of education and experience required.
Ability to work in a flexible and innovative environment with an expanding role and shifting responsibilities.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills (including very strong writing and proofreading skills) required.
High degree of diplomacy, customer service and organizational skills required.

RESPONSABILITIES
Administrative Management and Support
Provide administrative management for the department and related programs
Serve as first point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and visitors
Prepare, process, and maintain departmental records, including personnel files, curriculum materials, student evaluations, tenure materials (including preparing tenure and promotion dossiers when needed), sabbatical proposals, merit evaluations, and other needed documentation.
Disseminate information to and from all faculty members
Assist the Department Chair and directors with projects as needed
Financial Management and Personnel Transactions
Participate in appropriate university training sessions for financial and human resources activities and other tasks.
Process all personnel transactions including hiring of part-time faculty, work study students, and extra compensation.
Process departmental financial transactions including invoices, reimbursements and corporate card reconciliations and journal vouchers.
Serve as the department contact with the Dean's Office, Human Resources, and Accounts' Payable for financial and personnel transactions.
Office Management
Hire, schedule and train work-study and co-op students.
Supervise Administrative Coordinator and ensuring their success with responsibilities.
Order supplies, equipment, textbooks, and other supplies as needed.
Respond to inquiries and answer correspondence in a professional and timely manner.
Track office assignments and assist with office relocation logistics as needed.
Events and Marketing
Support events and programming and coordinate with Dean's Office contacts as needed to ensure effective execution from start to finish
Take initiative to provide a high-quality experience for event attendees and provide excellent customer service to attendees, speakers, and vendors.
Maintain the Department's websites and manage marketing and communications tasks including e-mail, newsletters, social media, publications, and marketing materials.
