Clarendon is seeking a dependable, motivated individual with exceptional people skills to conduct support visits to a diverse group of Family Child Care Educators. The Home Visiting Support Specialist will conduct home visits to licensed Family Child Care Educators. She/he will provide support in the areas of family childcare business administration, professional development & continuous quality improvement, Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC) regulatory and policy compliance, health and safety of young children, and program accountability.
Job Duties:
Conduct monthly business, technical assistance, coaching and mentoring support visits to Family Child Care Educators
Facilitate childcare referrals, enrollment, ongoing family supports and connections to community resources
Provide technical assistance with Family Child Care policy and regulations, curriculum and childrens assessments and progress reporting
Maintain knowledge of current Family Child Care regulations through ongoing staff meetings and trainings
Assist Training Director with professional development and work directly with educators on continuous quality improvement and program planning (some nights and weekends required)
Represent the agency in community outreach activities to build connections that benefit families
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum of Child Development Accreditation (CDA) or MA Department of Early Education & Care teaching certification in any of the following categories: Infant/Toddler, Preschool or Director I or II. Candidates with a degree in Early Childhood Education/Human Services or related field will be strongly considered
Fluent bi-lingual Spanish/English oral and written skills
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work individually and as a team-player
Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with a culturally diverse clientele a plus
Knowledge and application of MA Department of Early Education and Care Family Child Care regulations a plus
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zoom and Teams

Position Summary
The Summit Support Specialist provides targeted academic, social-emotional, and therapeutic support to middle and high school students who are at risk of dropping out, overage and under-accredited, court or law enforcement involved, and/or temporarily removed from school due to short-term or long-term suspensions.
This position delivers academic tutoring, counseling, and intervention services in a supportive setting, while also developing personalized transition plans that ensure students can successfully reintegrate into their home schools and programs. The Specialist also serves as a liaison to community resources, helping students and families access extracurricular programs, mental health supports, workforce opportunities, and wraparound services that promote stability and success.
Summit is an intensive, relationship-driven, skills-focused academic and social-emotional set of services at Salem High School and at the On-Point building at Palmer Cove. Summit seeks to re-engage learners who are at high risk of dropping out at the middle and high school level, helping them get back on track for graduation and post secondary success.

With Middle Schoolers
Provide individualized and small group tutoring in core academic subjects to address credit recovery and skill gaps.

Qualifications

What you'll do:
Be awake and available to persons during overnight shift until persons have left residential program, or until the morning staff person arrives.
Perform security checks on an hourly basis to ensure safety of individuals and facility.
Document each person's progress in the confidential record.
Perform tasks on the cleaning checklist and all duties based on individual's needs and schedule.
Write daily notes at end of shift if needed, noting any incidents and maintain regular communication with other team members.
Complete medication counts.

Education:
High School diploma or GED required.
Bachelor's degree in any related field preferred.
Experience:
Zero to six years related experience (depending on DSP level) providing child care/elder care/direct support to developmentally disabled persons or previous experience supporting individuals in a mental health/special education or other human services setting is required.
Skills:
Must have valid Massachusetts Driver's license.
Must be or able to become MAP certified

As a Peer Specialist for North Suffolk, you'll build supportive relationships that promote empowerment and self-learning. The Peer Specialist position is designated for a person who has lived experience and wants to help guide others through the recovery process.
We have multiple full and part-time positions available in Boston, East Boston and Chelsea. Please indicate preferred location in application.
Salaries start at $47,500 for non-certified applicants and $51,300 for Certified Peers. Additional language differential for fluency in American Sign Language - please indicate language skills in application!
What you'll do:
Support persons served through Life and Care transitions, including visiting a hospital or other restrictive setting in order to provide connection and transition planning.
Help clients establish goals to aid in their recovery
Educate non-peer staff about self-directed care and how to best support a person through risk and crisis situations.
Use peer-supported Evidence Based Practices including WRAP, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness exercises, Stages of Change, and others
Commit to becoming an Agent of Change through presenting regular trainings and periodic in-service trainings for non-peer staff
Provide support through self-disclosure of one's own experiences and the tenets of Recovery to develop the skills for self-advocacy
Facilitate and co-facilitate skill-building, mutually supportive groups, and emphasize the importance of quality of life activities and community membership.
Actively participate in North Suffolk peer team membership through recovery events
Seek Continuing Education in the Peer Support field to ensure that best practices are upheld and that emerging evidence is incorporated into the work.
What You'll Need:
Education:
Must possess or be willing/eligible to obtain one of the following Certifications within the first six months of employment: Certified Peer Specialist (CPS), Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) or Family Partner
Experience:
Must identify as having Lived Experience of a Mental Health Diagnosis, a Substance Use Addiction, Extreme States, or Trauma that has caused significant life disruption
Possess a desire to share those experiences in a purposeful and intentional way to influence the mental health system and provide recovery oriented support to those in ACCS services.
Skills:
Driver's license preferred but not required.
Must be CPR/first aid certified within five months of hire (training provided).
Bilingual language skills a plus! Spanish and American Sign Language skills needed.
